Q: Is 1 Gong Gin equal to Kilogram or Pound?

my translation on wechat has been saying pounds yet i always thought it was kilograms.
so let's get the general consensus and open it up to the board.

斤(Jin) is 1 pound (0.5kg or 0.6kg in Taiwan)

公斤 (GongJin) is 1kg.

I have seen it written "gong jin" or "gong yin", fisrt time as "gong gin".

I kilogram is 2.2 pounds, and also is 2 yin.
