Q: The after effects of the American civil rights movement. Is everyone equal?

All equal? If not, why not?

I guess you mean are all treated equal.  Nope.  Never will be either.  Just human nature.  Poor black kid dressed all gangsta style can't walk into Tiffany 5th Avenue and expect to be treated like Melania.  Humans are judgemental.

I think that equality gig was just about getting treated equally by law.  It may be getting better, but nah, people still treat others differently judging by their looks, skin color, ethnicity, and pocketbook.  Always have; always will.

Best accept it and try to make the best of your own situation imo.

Well, since black people, South Americans, Native Americans and Asian Americans* still don't have full civil rights, it's unlikely that there's any equality.

(you don't hear the phrase "European Americans", do you?? Hence, "African Americans", and "Latino Americans" etc aren't equal to Euro-Americans... Gonna be a LONG time before someone from those backgrounds will be just "American").

Can you give an example of this, a specific civil right, in front of the law (ie not just attitudes or opinions which even commies cannot completely control after half a century of brainwashing dalu rens)?

Shining, yo're wrong as always. The law does give rights to all! Now is the part of changing the minds and hearts of individuals which will be a never ending process.

No-one gets tongue-in-cheek comments anymore.... :( (I posted a similarly worded comment on a wechat group, and most people got it!)

@shning Your anti-American stand let you down. I think most regular ecc users know how anti-American you are. That is a lame way to sleaze off.

Very true.  Here in the states the people are not treated equal.  There are still divisions between races, cultures and economics
