Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't do anything special to celebrate Thanksgiving here in China. No family and no turkey.

I love turkey dinner though, will have to miss it this year.

Genuine question, do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving?

I honestly thought that was just the Americans.

I didn't even know it was our Thanksgiving until I read this thread. I'm holding out for St. Patrick's Day!

What about the Americans, you ain't gonna wish them happy thanksgiving too? Though i've just noticed Derek's post above: are they celebrated on different days?

thedude:

Canadian Thanksgiving is about 6 weeks before the American one because our traditional harvest season is before the US as we are further north.

US Thanksgiving is the second last Thursday of Novemeber,,,roughly 1 month before Christmas and the official start of the silly season.

Most Canadians forget about Thanksgiving, it's not as big a deal as it is for the Americans and their. In Beijing I actually just did US thanksgiving cause it was easier to go out and get a turkey. Thanks though!

Thanks and the same to you.

I'm still in Canada and had a wonderful massive pig-out and the turkey is making me sleepy.

I'll be back in China for the US Thanksgiving but it's ok because I have had my fill now.

Gobble gobble....cheers.

Happy Thanksgiving, I'm home, I usually cook the Thankgiving and Xmas dinner for my family. I have enough left overs to feed China. I've put on 15 lbs since I've been home, these holidays will make it worse. Somebody pass me a Chinese cutie.
