Fritze, all countries want something for something, you think China is the great philanthropist?? Look at it's list of nations CHINA chooses to help, top to bottom full of despot, totalitarian regimes like N.Korea, Myanmar (Burma) Sudan to name a few.... The U.S like anywhere is far from perfect but is at the TOP of any list as a contributing nation and has aided many in the time of need... If you're German they helped you too... If you're Swiss then you've helped nobody but your self. Easy to attack the Americans but when push comes to shove they are the #1 nation that delivers.

Fritze, the US sends out a huge amount of money aid to countries every year. Yes, to Zimbabwe and even TO CHINA. Yes, CHINA, including $47 million of development aid, $320 million in contracts, etc.

Plus, the US spends more than any other nation on AIDS prevention, education, research, etc. Basically, if a country has AIDS, they receive money from the US. China does, and I'm pretty sure whatever country you come from is receiving something from the US as well.

Not everyone agrees with the US on policy decisions. I'm an American and I don't agree with some or even many of them. But I can vote, so I do, and I hope it will put people in office that will follow policy more to my liking. This includes calling back troops from Iraq and Afganistan.

Either way however, I am a US taxpayer. Aid to foreign countries is going to be a big issue in the 2012 elections. America has some economic issues at the moment, so I believe a lot of this money will be cut off. I don't enjoy the idea of MY MONEY going to places that I don't give 2 shits about. And it is MY MONEY and every other US citizen's money in the form of taxes.

The US IS THERE. Just not with tanks and planes. Why no tanks and planes? Think about it. They can't EAT without a US handout right now, but a military campaign will make this situation better?

America gives out all of this money to places that often hate America, but they're willing to take our money. Why? Because we believe that people and especially children have the right to eat some damn food and get an education so they can have a chance to live their lives, even if they hate us. But we're the bad guys....

Any financial support that go to Zimbabwe is taken by the Government, it doesn't reach the needy.China get no aid from the US Government, i dont think China need it.
Aid dont need to be money... is everything for sale in the eyes of the US? The USA and Allies went into the Arab countries the so called help the nations... they didnt they went there to take care of the oil... yes not directly.... The country where i come from (to my knowledge what i could pick up) never had any aid from any country. We a small country and financially not so bad off. We also dont overspend on milatary and let our people suffer with high interests and financial strain.
