Who wipes your bottom considering that you seem to be able to do absolutely nothing on your own? You're telling us that you cannot read/write Chinese and therefore cannot do a simple search on your own? How in the hell do you expect to run your own business when you cannot complete any act without input from others?

Or, are you just lonely and need the attention (positive or negative)?

ScotsAlan:

Not at all Victoria.

I am trying to bait you into divulging what product you are exporting.

I know you are smart and have found a killer product.

I have my export channels and distributers all sorted out. I just need that one killer product that will make me enough money to retire on.

In other words, I want to copy your business plan. Maybe even corner the market before anyone else.

Vacuum pumps?  Would that be venturi style ejectors, diaphram, sliding vane or positive displacement?

Hopefully not the plastic tube and rubber bulb style that are sold in the back pages of magazines for body enhancements.

I am an Engineer. I know a little about pumps.

Muliti-nationals seem to have the market covered for industrial applications.

I can't see what your new angle could be.

Usually the pump body is made of aluminium with a plastic rotary vane inside. All of them are used for industry, nothing is for body enhancement. Those pumps can be used for food packaging,refrigeration,air-conditiong repairing,car-repairing,construction.,etc

The big pump I am selling is copying German pump.I found many ppl in Australia and Europe are interested in buying.

Not for me I'm afraid Vicky.

I know what you are on about. But it's a difficult market that involves too much work.

First up, the German company who designed it most likely have some patents on their design. You would be amazed at  how many patents even the simplest device can have on it. Even on devices anyone would consider as already being in the public domain.

Secondly..... food processing. You need big money to get approvals on that. You need certification to prove that nothing will find it's way into the food from your device.

Third. How do I know someone else won't copy it cheaper?

If I were you I would set up an alibaba page and sell it from there. Let the customer come to you.

http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/sliding-vane-rotary-vacuum-pump.html

Good luck Vicky. You will get a winner one day. You should set a target for yourself. Fill a 20ft container for less than $10k.

ScotsAlan:

Just to add Vicky....

The copies can look just as good as the real thing. But they are different inside.  Chinese copy bearings for example can fail within weeks, causing downtime. Pipe connection threads can be formed with worn carbon steel dies so the customer can't connect it.

There is a reason the German product is expensive.... it's designed to last.

A set of thread gauges to check connecting threads can cost thousands of dollars to buy. Then they cost thousands of dollars to calibrate every year. Very very few Chinese manufacturers are willing to buy a plastic ruler for QC never mind tens of thousands of dollars.

Have you done a full QA and supplier chain audit of your supplier?

Do you have an international network of service engineers arranged?

How do you know your supplier won't just steal your customers and sell direct?

It's a minefield out there Vicky. There is no quick buck. Just years of hard work that can go down the drain faster than a Hunan poo.

You need to find something small cheap and simple to sell. Even then, you need to be prepared for the customer finding lead paint on it.

I.already sold some myself.lol.I will not let the factory knows my clients if possible.I have agent help me do the exporting. So many factories on alibaba,it is not a good place to sell a higher price as a trader. The necessary certificates will come in the name of my company in the furure for cooperating with big business in western countries. But not now at the beginning.I will sell those small pumps not copying from the Germany to the Germany.I have done that before.

you can do it yourself, will cost you half the money you will pay the agent, i have done it for my friend as well. its very simple and just takes 30 mins , and then you open a bank account which just cost you $100-200 HKD.

desiriderz:

While agent will charge you RMB 7-8k , if you go to do it yourself , just about $500-1000HKD only

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
