Q: Any jobs in Guanzhout next summer for UK guy

Hi everyone, am from Central London, UK.  Currently work as a successful Photographer here.  But my partner is Chinese and lives in Guanghzou and though I will be visiting there in March for 6 weeks.  I am planning to live permanantly there this summer.
Also possess a Teaching Qualification and was a Course Tutor, part time, at three different Colleges some years ago.  Was also a medical photographer for nearly 4 years .
Love to hear from anyone with some good advice about being British working in Guangzhou and if there are any possible work opportunities while there in March part-time.  A good time to have any meetings - get to meet me.
Thanks everyone.

They are always looking for native speakers in English speaking countries. You will qualify to get almost any job in teaching since you pass all the requirements and you have experience. It shouldn't be a problem for you they might even promote you faster than you think.

Part time English teaching can make good money and you could try to get established as a photographer on the side if that's what you've got your heart set on.

There are always teaching placement in Gz.[ Guangzhou]. Try not to let any prospective employer know you are new to this, or you'll end up working to around 70-80 rmb. I'm not sure if you have been to Gz or any part of China previously! if not then be prepared for a very different pace of life and possible culture shock. Their thinking is very different from the west.  Please beware there are many smiling face that hold the black heart. and someone quoting:  the very the best price' means I'm ripping you off. There are very often 'English corners / nights' Sun Yet-Sen University, Bin jiang Donglu, Hai zhu district, is always buzzing with students evening time Englsih corner is Tuesday-Wednesday evening at the band stand within the complex. Facing the Zhongda Wharf on the Pearl River. You'll make friends there. Good Luck and enjoy.

Always can find work teaching, if you don't want to do that you could set up a photography business, but that's long-term.

Plenty of opportunities in Guangzhou! Don't worry!

Good luck! I'd hate to see you put your successful photography career down the drain but you should stick with what makes you happy! (I'm saying that because you may come here and like China too much lol.)

Just a small question.
