Tell us your location and we might be able to suggest a good local expat community for you. Personally, I do visit gzstuff.com from time to time for Guangzhou, I'm always in /r/China on Reddit, which is a great community.

mArtiAn:

I'm in Guangxi. I'll have a look at those other two, thanks.

For good China info without the vulgarity and crudeness of some of the posters around here, try www.eslcafe.com aka Dave's.  It's  a really good site and the mods don't put up with any crassness at all.

Second, try www.raoulschinasaloon.com.  It's smaller than Dave's but is just as helpful and perhaps more friendly.  Again, no rudeness nor bashing permitted there.  The owner's name is not Raoul -- although it took me years to learn that -- but some very, very WASP Anglo name.

Third, try www.eslteachersboard.  It's great for adverts and the like and it's a good place to check out warnings about schools, etc., etc.

China smack is probably the only other one. The beijinger actually has some of the same numb skulls that post irrelevant information here from time to time. Otto might be the following...got the picture?
