English language test
If you have passed an English language test, you must send your certificate. The original test result certificate must clearly show:
your name;
the qualification obtained; and
the date of the award.
You can download a list of approved English language tests from the right side of this page.
Ielts test, is what she she might need. She needs to check the visa req on the website.

How extremely helpful of you, repeating what the person above you has already said. Except not as well.
crimochina:
Excuse me, I am not as perfect as you. Sometimes I post when I only have read the question. Sorry to breathe the same air as you. Fag
mike168229:
Maybe you should read the rest of the post instead of jumping in with both feet and making yourself look silly.
And fag? How old are you? hahahaha Loser.
Assuming this is for a student visa: under UK immigration rules Appendix A paragraph 118 (b), the applicant must provide an original English language test certificate, from an English language test provider approved by the Secretary of the State, which is within its validity date and shows for example: achieved or exceeded level B2 of the Council of Europe's Common European framework for language learning in all four components(reading, writing, speaking and listening)....
Be aware examination or interview can occur at point of entry to see if one can communicate proficiently to a certain standard inline with the standard specified in a Certificate of Acceptance of Studies.
So there you go, many IELTS centers in Beijing, Shanghai just make sure they comply with the legal requirement in UK. http://www.ielts.org//test_centre_search/search_results.aspx?TestCentreSearchSubRegion=597a53f4-7538-43c4-85d7-1d9c26d75b38
Ok can anybody recommend a school she should go to and learn English
Just keep in mind she is 40 something but by no means a dumb ass . Very well educated and revered in music circles
mike168229:
Depends on her level.
Also, if she is moving to the UK, she might want to find a school that teaches British English. There are not many of those left now though.
It is for her own benefit, she will be less confused when she moves.
If she were closer, I would have been happy to take her on as a student.
sorrel:
I agree with Mike - she should get a private teacher who can focus on her needs and level rather than be stuck in a class with younger students who might not be as focused on learning.
the best website for the ielts test in Beijing is ielts-yasi.englishlab.net
website run by former examiner and teacher Chris Green.
he tracks the probability and occurrence of topics and gives a good overall idea what will be on the test and he is usually right.
