Q: anybody know this story in the news, court case?

so apparently a big court case out of shandong is a big stink in the news.

my second knowledge of the case is as follows.

a lady who runs a factory borrows 1.1 million rmb from some shady shadow banking gangsters and pays back after selling her home and most possesions 1.7 million rmb but still owes some more money.

10 men drag her and her son to an empty apartment building for some coercion and humiliation tactics.

the police are called and do nothing but warn the head man not to cause bodily harm to the person owing the money

the head gangster takes his pants off and rubs his penis on the mom's face in front of the son.

the son goes apeshit and stabs and kills the head gangster and injures 4 other men of the 10 present.

when the police left and did not do anything, the mom's sister was downstairs begging the police not to leave or her sister would die

the son gets life in prison for protecting his mom

people are outraged and an appeal is being granted but now these gangsters have some links to money loan to government officials there and may include the judges involved.

the city is laochang, not sure of spelling in shandong.

any great chinese translators, please fill in the omissions and give us the details.

punishment is too severe is a good complaint, but my complaint is why the policeman were not fired or killed by the son first for not doing the job of protecting citizens.

Apparently it is the talk of the town.

There are two testimonies, both handwritten in chinese, one from the mother, the other from the son. Both are supposedly from the court.

The thing is, according to the mother, written clearly at the very beginning, the event took place on April 14, 2015. The son's testimony also mentioned the date, written clearly at the beginning, April 14, 2016.

Sloppy. Typo? From the court? Really? With something this serious (life sentence)? Well, maybe it is nothing serious. How much is his life? His lastname is neither Xi nor Ma........

The story is the same as captured in the OP. The mother also said the villians took off the shoe of her son and forced her to smell it.

Even the crooks in china are more psychopathic than crooks in a civilised society.
