Q: Is anyone still measuring Japan induced radiation levels on China's Eastern seaboard?

We've all heard that radiation can stay around for thousands of years, so the damage caused by radiation leaks at the Fukushima plant must still be affecting many areas today. With Japan complaining about China's pollution, I'm wondering if China is monitoring radiation levels in the sea between China and Japan, especially that of shellfish. It's easy for Japan to  be quick to talk, but shouldn't they look at their own country first before calling out others?!!!

i think china wants to keep this subject quiet , the nuclear reactor in japan is exactly like the ones general electric are building in china , in fact , yantei has one very close to me in shandong, right next to the sea. if something goes wrong here with nuclear , bad mouthing will make them look foolish also. china has to use nuclear to get rid of the pollution , they have no choice, green energy cant take care of a billion people. i just hope the 110 nuclear plants planned for the next 20 years are not in earthquake zones.

TedDBayer:

Nuclear plants don't work. In Canada the original idea was that they would produce electricity too cheap to meter. They turned out to be the biggest money pits, Hydro our electricty supplier is so far in the hole that we have to pay debt reduction on our bills. Nuclear plants are not safe, no way to dispose of radioactive waste, too many accidents.
