Q: Is Apple fanaticism hitting an all-time high?
So I went shopping with a friend and noticed something strange. A kid had an apple logo for a haircut... has anyone seen this?
Why on Earth would any parent agree to do this? Are they that proud of their iPhones?

actually the fanaticism has peaked and is starting to slowly decline. thanks to the govt targeting of apple.

Down with all Apple products. I'm a strong proponent of the Samsung Galaxy flagship series.
I must admit, I mainly see people with Samsung Galaxies these days. And the other evening we had dinner with my wifes boss and her family which includes a teenage girl. My wifes boss asked her teenage daughter if she likes my wifes phone (locally produced Android) and after some "blah blah, looks OK" she said she'd probably rather want a Samsung Galaxy S4, her mum has iPhone 4, her dad a HTC.
There are so many people running around looking like .... well, actually I don't know what they look like, talking into their giant Samsung Galaxy Notes. Not knocking their choice of phablet, it's just very clunky looking when used as an actual phone.
Also, last time there was a major iPhone release, Meizu released their MX2 phone (the day before or after) Meizu has their flagship store right next to an Apple store. The MX2 made hundreds queue, the iPhone not so much. Meizu is of course a company based here in Zhuhai, and their phones look great and are a lot cheaper.
I think Apple will be on a long slow decline. Of course those with lots of money will keep replacing their iPhones with new ones. And an iPhone is a great product for the vast majority of people. The competition is just gaining fast.

I see mainly Galaxy phones as well these days (across many, many provinces), and it warms my heart. I detest Apple products, and think that those who purchase them are, quite frankly, idiots. Apple is just one big luxury tax on the stupid. The profoundly stupid.
I guess if you like inferior products that cost more, and have very little freedom, you'd be happy with an Apple.
It's just weird that there's some kid running around with an Apple Logo as a haircut. That reeks of... extreme stupidity on behalf of the parents.

Those Galaxy Notes look ok if you have big enough hands but most people here don't..so it looks quite ridiculous. Samsungs are great on the inside but the body design is bland and its made of plastic...Meizu is cool...But for the same money my wife got a Nexus 4, even Google play works on it...I bought the Nexus 10 tablet and its amazing as well. I hope HTC can survive...IMO the new One phone is the best thing out now! Not too many people will acknowledge that because they'll get the S4. Maybe I'll get it when its cheaper.

I am currently pretty impressed with the Xiaomi phones. Especially the 2A, only 1499 kuai, it feels solid (not denying it is plastic) the MIUI (their version of Android) runs smooth, camera is great. The company has English & Chinese online forums, they are active on Facebook, the phones can be ordered straight from the factory with fast delivery.

Yes a lot of my students have them...My HTC One S was 2500 in October, its about 1500 now, pretty good deal, still love mine...I was considering Xiaaomi back then but the 2 took forever to release...
Have you seen the "Apple" ebike? They're usually pink or green and have the bitten apple all over them. Hilarious. The iAppleEbike!
I think iPhones will be like Harleys. Old tech with problems and a rabid fan base.
