Q: are the chinese feeding pandas viagra?
i was watching the daily show and ricky gervais was joking about the chinese giving pandas viagra and making them watch panda porn.
is any of this true? thoughts?

Well, they could be giving them something, some kind of substance for arousal maybe? How would we ever know? People are just happy that the pandas are breeding more easily.

It is really difficult and rare for pandas to successfully mate.

A newborn panda weigh about 5 ounces, and are the size of a stick of butter when they are born. Rejection of the baby or smothering by the mother was very common when the mother felt apprehensive about the vets and care takers coming in and out of her den to monitor the baby.
They've finally figured out how to inseminate successfully, let the mother be left alone with her newborn instead of being over protective people (using cameras instead), and when to interfere if mother rejects the baby or when there is a multiple birth.
