Q: Are there any hotels in China that dont need an I.D?

I think that all hotels need id even the cheap ones. How can I find out?

Very few,in some very small cities,or mabe some place like hotel,you can take a bath,and also can sleep there.

I had just arrived in a new city with my girlfriend and we couldn't find anywhere that wasn't full or that would accept foreigners so we ended up staying in a bath house that night. No I.D required. I wouldn't recommend it at all, it was a shithole.

 

Aside from that I've only ever stayed in one place that didn't require I.D, not that I had a problem with providing my I.D.  It was actually pretty good for the price.

 

I have to ask though, why don't you want to show I.D?
