Q: are they being honest or just cheating?

hi everyone!i really need your answer on this one it will really help me,i acme to china on L visa which was for 60 days and that expired and i extended and was given 30 days which expires 20 april,so i have been looking for jobs and finally i found one and they say i work for 2 months on probation thats when they can process work visa for me and they are offering 6000 for that after then they will pay me 7000.now my question is why do they want me to wait for dat long before they could do me visa and to me it doesnt make sense cause even if i go and extend for the second time by the time 2 months comes maybe i will long been kicked out of china, what do i do now please dont judge me but i need honest answers from you thnks.

Honestly, you're being led on as far as the procedures are concerned. You're leading them on as far as your English capabilities are concerned. If you isnt tawking bout an englisch teachur pozition den i tinks yur well sooted to eachuther

School needs at least 30 days for new Working permit, probably longer. They said 2 months, because they are probably not sure how long it will take to get Working permit.

I would accept job regardless of salary. You need Z visa. If they will sponsor Z, accept position.

Tell School that you agree with procedure for Z visa, and ask them if they will extend your present visa, so you can work and wait in China for Working permit.

It doesn't look fishy to me, butt....who knows. Where are you? Which Province?

t.keemetswe:

thanks!i am in hankou wuhan, but my visa expires 20 april and i have 1 extension left and my question is what happens after that if 2nd extension expires before they do work visa for me,so they can extend for me?

Ask School about visa extension! School is your sponsor, they must deal with extension.

I really think that they are cheating you.  They may eitehr dismiss you at the end of the two months or come up with a lame excuse for not getting you the Z Visa.

Note, you cannot work in China without a Z visa.

Even putting it in the contract, that at the end of the 60 days they will process your Z visa will only be putting in writing that both parties are breaking the law.

If they wanted to, they could get you a 60 day visa to cover the so called "probation period".

I would stay away from them, but that is just my opinion.

t.keemetswe:

thats what i also thought,thanks.

it is clear they are cheating you. and it is clear as to why. you have no business teaching english .. period. when you try to sneak in through the garage you will find yourself locked in. they want you to work illegally so you will have no legal recourse. it is illegal to work on the l visa. period end of story.

thnx crimo!

Agree with the last poster. You clearly are not qualified to teach English, so if you insist on going this route you, frankly, get what you deserve. You are cheating them by presenting yourself as an English teacher; they are cheating you by charging you for a visa that they should be paying for, and asking you to teach for 2 months illegally.

If you have any sense, you'll go back to your home country and get a job you are qualified for, or qualify yourself further for something else. You are setting yourself up for big problems here if you try to do this.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
