Time of day is probably more important that which of the borders you chose. But why don't you go to HK or Macau and make a day of it ?

Shenzhen bay.  Walk across and walk back.

But as Scan says, you should try to make a day of it.

I usually use Luohu, and stay in HK few days/weeks.

Hotwater:

Yeah but at Luohu you can't walk straight back. You need to go one stop on the MTR. Plus if you choose the wrong time of day it can be hell with the queues.

I hope you are not an English teacher.  It is border, not boarder.

Luohu except early in the morning and in the evening when it's a free-for-all chaos at Luohu, better take Futian at that time.
