Q: Best honeymoon place without too many complicated visa issues?

Let's be honest: there aren't a whole lot of places for Chinese people to go without dealing with a complicated visa process... right? I'm American, she's Chinese. If we each have our own passports from our respective countries, where can we go?

Thanks!

A lot of Chinese people go to Thailand without too many issues.  In fact, I think it's relatively (key word) easy for Chinese people to travel to most of the South East Asian countries.  Oh, Korea and Japan are not too bad either...several friends have traveled there without issue.  Me and my girlfriend are trying to plan a little trip for Chinese New Year's.  She's been talking about Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia...even Sri Lanka, lol.

As an American, you won't even need a pre-arranged visa for most of these places provided you stay less than 30 days....Sri Lanka is the exception I think, haha.

I hear Fiji is VERY easy for the Chinese, as we are planning a trip there. Indeed initial research indicates that the Chinese don't need a visa at all, (although I haven't checked that personally yet).

Edit - I can confirm nationals of neither USA nor China require visas for Fiji.

how about sticking to China. Sanya or Gui Lin ? E.g. Sanya has some nice beach resorts or some even nicer resort with small cabins on tree filled mountains.

not the same as going e.g. to Maldives, but it solves the visa concern

visa is not a concern for maldives..

Maldives is visa free and is a popular honeymoon destination.

Sri Lanka is also a nice place and also visa free.

Here is a complete list of visa free places to go for Chinese.

Another place that could qualify for honeymoon and I know the visa situation for is United Arab Emirates (Dubai), where it is easy to get. If you fly with Emirates you can even do it online with just a few clicks.

I am not sure but I wonder if Cuba is not visa-free for citizens of the PRC but then again that makes a problem for the Yanks.

Let’s face it, Cuba is, was and probably will be a top tourist destination. The equation is quite simple: “beautiful spots and cheap... everything!”

Nevertheless, I see two glitches for this particular case:

First, the groom is a “Gringo” and he will be the one who will actually have visa issues. I heard however, that the Cubans are doing their best to ease the problems for the U.S. tourists (and their more welcomed dollars); they will not even stamp their passports...

But on the other hand, we are dealing with a “honey moon”. In the ways of my country, Cuba is a destination for single guys...

Go to Jiuzhaigou, it is the most beautiful place i've ever been. Otherwise Huangshan in Anhui is amazing and there are hotels in the mountains. Book online or they'll bend you over on the price.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
