Q: Best hotel/location for parents visiting Beijing?
So my mom's coming to Beijing to visit, but I have to work during the day which means she's on her own... any recommendations for a nice hotel with a location good enough for her to just walk around and entertain herself on her own without having to take a taxi anywhere? Maybe near a park, or in the Gulou area?

I'd recommend you ,Days Inn Forbidden City Hotel,It's the hotel My husband and I stayed at when we were on vacation in Beijing.It's a very nice hotel, it seems most of their customers are western people.just 5 mins walk from the hotel to Wangfujing walking street.Very convenient.
I really appreciated it when my mother in law from Australia came to China and visited us three times in less than 1 year,It's a pity that my husband and I are always busy,We didn't have much time to spend with her,just evening time and the weekend.
