I have Sat tv in Beijing and it has the Australian Network mainly feeds from ABC and few shows from seven,nine,ten plus AFL if you like.

Iview is region blocked same with SBS and all other networks video catchup links.

Not to sure if the VPN would work as the server would need to be based in Australia.

Thanks. Nothing specific but would like to watch a few ABC & SBS  doccos and news etc from Australia and a little bit of current affairs, Four Corners, Foreign Correspondent etc. I think I should be able to find a few crappy streams of sport from Aus and it is not the end of the world if I can't access stuff but more like a little bonus if I can.

For sport: livetv.ru choose the code union, league or afl and streams all the games live plus other sports from around the world.

If the website streaming it is country restricted, like they are in Denmark, then you will need a VPN from your country.

I can recommend the VPN provider astrill(.com), who has servers in most countries, Australia included.

They also allow you to switch to another country whenever you want, so you can watch Netflix from USA or BBC from the UK.

Hi Woody, like Mikael above, I use Astrill. We frequently change the country the VPN is set to, and when the VPN is set to Aus, we can access all everything on the ABC website, including four corners, foreign correspondent and the 7:30 report by state.

To save the cost on VPNS if you are just wanting to watch shows , browse facebook etc. You can  use securitales with a incognito  window to use again as you get a 10 min limit or use freegate a program you can get.  Then download from torrents as internet will usually be rubbish for streaming.
