Hello I have accepted an job offer on the internet after an successful job interview,i was suppose to take it up in 5 weeks.I have already sign the contract by email but i have found a better job offer. Is the contract i signed by email legal binding as i want to cancel and not take the job offer, can i cancel it or i will have pay compensation back to them any suggestions or advice even before the visa papers have gone thorough.

You are bound by the details in the contract you signed and returned to them
The contract will have a clause referring to this situation if it is a genuine contract
Actually , you can walk away cleanly. As long as they did not process the visa yet. But email them explaining you would like to work somewhere else. Some schools are very understanding and will keep you as an option if you change your mind again. It has happened to me about every time I changed jobs.
