ever since i've been here the trolls/ ccp has been trying to get at this site in various ways. they try to control the questions and ask these dumb questions. they attack the posters, all this to try run off the members.

On second thoughts, it's not worth worrying about. EDIT: I have a feeling you'll be here again in a couple of days, Phil. I think a lot of us got peeved about certain things that happened today.
I was thinking the same thing today. That's where my "F*ck off" post came from. It's just getting a bit stupid. For stupid posters and trolls we should all team up and either agree to not answer their questions, AT ALL. They will soon get bored. Admin won't do anything, so I say we boycott those idiots (you know who) by completely ignoring any questions or answers they post. Don't even thumb down. They are still here because we pay attention to them.

Seen as though my post was deleted today, that just shows admin won't do anything. By the way admin, nice way to act like the Chinese government. I thought this was a safe place to voice our opinions but it seems I was wrong. Unless you are Silva99 then my comment was not directed at you, and I think if you asked, no one would say they were offended by it. There's plenty of crap posted on this site, and yet the one time I tell someone who repeatedly posts crap where he can go, I get deleted. Sure the language wasn't great, but I've seen plenty of swearing on here before. Sort out the idiots on here and I wouldn't have to resort to using bad language, and Phil wouldn't threaten to leave. Sort out your priorities, because it's time to make a choice. If you keep protecting these idiots then this part of the site is just going to lose its purpose AND most of its real members. guys we all have to appreciate the admins position. this website operates in china. that means the ccp can ban it at anytime. . this site must remove posts that will hurt the ccp's feelings too much. the ccp is overly sensitive we all know that.
they must allow the ccp posters post . this is china, if you want to do business in china you must operate by their rules.
Isn't it time to simply boycott the guys (matty, silva, numbers...whoever) who are causing the headaches? I read the site everyday and as many times as you all have promised to band together, it hasn't happened. You are letting him/her win and deep down you know it. I personally haven't entertained one of her/his posts in almost a year. Stop taking the bait.
It isn't hard to ignore stupidity. Today is as good a time as any to start.
I don't know why everyone is up in arms about Silva. She's not the main problem. Just stupid questions, which I actually find are fun to play with. She just earns her money, and goes on her way.
For me, the problem is a few others, who come on here deliberately anatgonising posters, then complaining to admin when the inevitable retaliation occurs. That is what they are aiming for, and I think quite a few of us fell for it. I certainly did, and I got a reprimand from admin for it. I was annoyed yesterday, but over it today. My feelings were hurt, but unlike China, I got over it quickly.
If you're going to form a little group to attempt to deal with this problem, that's fine, and possibly a way of resolving your own frustrations with the way things have been going. However, I would suggest you do it offsite, so you don't breach any board rules, your opposition doesn't see your plans, and PMs are awfully slow. Maybe Skype group or something similar, where you can brainstorm ideas.
For me, I'm going to find Silva's Q&As, and have a bit of fun with them.
Having been a member of several forums (based on the mainland and off), the "community" will change, regardless of how long you've been here, regardless of calls to arms to get rid of "infestations". It's a fact of life. What happens IRL when an undesirable neighbor moves next door? Try ignoring them, try reasoning with them, get the law on them...and then? Move on. This site and these forums are not ours per se...we don't pay for the bandwidth, don't have to seek profit from anything. Honestly, if you want a sterile and asceptic forum then start your own (and see how long you can 'fight the system' and still remain online). Happy every day!

Couldn't agree more. And this fella Silva? Or Matty as it seems he used to be called? I've been wondering since I first came to this site what all the fuss was about him. I honestly don't get it.
