Q: China for "ONLY" Chinese, but I want to migrate to Western Countries

What does this mentality indicate ?Are they racist? Are they opportunist? Are they ignorant? Are they not

educated enough to understand this is "unfair"?When will rest of world demand "fairness" from Chinese people on this? Are Chinese afraid that their  "genetic" purity will be destroyed? What is your though on this?

Why Chinese people are against any kind of  liberal immigration policy...you can live here and work here  and even

may fall in love with China....but you will always remain a "FOREIGNER"..and you must "LEAVE" someday.Chinese who cry for fairness everywhere on this planet but they do they not consider this unfair.do they?

Who said that chinese are against immigration here? The government obviously is but since when have they spoken for the people? Yes its not fair that chinese can move around the world and recieve all of these rights but hell blame your own stupid government.

The chinese government would be incredibly happy to force all overseas chinese to come back home.

Again has nothing to do with chinese people.

Heck if you think its unfair that chinese dont support it, then your talking to the wrong people. They feel isolated because they cant leave and dont know better. Talk to a person who has family or friends that have immigrated to another country. Im quite sure they would support you staying here permanently.

The bigger question is. Why do you care? Do you wish to stay here forever? Also, except for people that married a foreigner then moved. The majority of chinese abroad had to pay handsomly for the pleasure. Millions of rmb. The reason so few foreigners get their green cards is they dont have millions to give. But if you had the money im sure you could. Seems i dont know , FAIR to me.

Granted, it isnt fair that when we marry we cant stay but again, what do you wanna do? Ask your government not to let your future wife come home?

Foreigners can live here, but never 100% legally secure. We're not the only ones - Chinese live under childish gov't rules all their lives. Expatlife said it best: "We want to be able to fuck with you if we want to and give you no recourse"

Some interesting developments on this with the Euro elections coming up.

The right wing seem to be doing ok in the polls, especially UKIP in the UK.

Very sad I think.  The people at home voting for the anti immigration manifesto don't realize that the tit for tat politics that follow will actually their reduce their own, and their children's chances of seeing the world. A vote for the right is a vote towards closing doors for all of us.

Why would China swing open their door when other countries are slamming their's shut ?

bill8899:

So countries should allow immigration to enable their citizens to travel, see the world?

China's door has never been open. Maybe the new rules in other countries reflect that.

They are not slamming the doors shut, just stopping the abuse of their immigration policy by people who have no intent of integrating and who expect special rights.

I agree with OP that it is hypocritical for China and neighboring nations to have such a controlling immigration (and making it so u are always someone's b***h) when millions of ots own people have fled to a better life elsewhere, but on the other hand they won't reap the benefits of foreign immigration.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
