Q: Chinese bellybuttons aren't "closed"?

It was sweltering hot yesterday but my girlfriend insisted on sleeping with the bed sheets covering her stomach. Only her stomach.

When I asked her why she said it was because Chinese bellybuttons weren't "closed" or "sealed" or whatever, and that it was therefore easier for Chinese people to get sick if they didn't cover up that part of their body.

Anyone ever heard of this before?

I know they always cover you with a towel, sheet or blanket when you sleep even in summer. I always tell them not to do it as I am fine but like many things what I think is ignored. Often as I am just dozing off it wakes me up as they place the sheet. Your explanation might be the reason as I just get told that it is no good sleeping without the cover.

This is how Chinese men can drink so much baijiu... it all leaks out their bellybutton.

Cheap restaurants even resell the baijiu that leaks out.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
