Q: Chinese fireworks versus American fireworks

As a teacher for Chinese high school students who go to America for their advanced studies, I am always interested in how they compare America to China. With it being Independence Day in America, I wonder what their thoughts are as they compare American fireworks to Chinese fireworks. Personally, I think there is a huge difference.

What are your thoughts about Chinese fireworks, compared to fireworks from your home country?

the American fireworks are all made in China, and we like them louder and bigger, I have not seen any M80's here, perhaps in the wrong location for such a thing. Liberals and bureaucrats would absolutely go ape shit if a factory made them in America. Safety this, safety that, OSHA regulations, the fireworks would cost more than cigarettes when the government got through screwing the factory over with rules. Safety goggles and fire proof football uniforms and hazards materials masters degree required.

i stand corrected, a few are made in kansas, a red state, black cat, but most made in China.

So you'd rather no safety rules & run the risk of disasters in the factories? There are explosions and deaths every year in Chinese factories.

perhaps too much regulation is why they are made in China now instead.

If there is an accident, use the China method, execute the owners until morale and safety improve.

on the contrary, when i owned a transportation company, government regulations made me a lot of money at the expense of the consumer. I once took a load of defective butane lighters from Louisiana to Minnesota, why they dump them underground at the top of the water table instead of the bottom of the water table in the country was not my problem, but I had the only qualified drivers with all the government safety and bullshit classes to haul the load, the load paid 10 dollars a mile, try hauling dead bodies for medical research and dealing with agriculture inspections along the way, many horror stories with regulations, but i always made them pay for the headache.

a ship passing Hawaii on the way to the US with goods can not stop and drop off cargo in hawaii, it has to go to the west coast and reload it back to hawaii, how is that for efficient government regulations.

Fireworks are restricted in most blue states and a few red ones. In Georgia, you have to drive to Alabama to buy them. Fireworks shows by government entities usually have 4 or five fire trucks and ambulances standing around in case of a problem at great expense, workers clocking double time on a holiday and enjoying the show, so most small towns can't afford the expense, plus the expense of special insurance for an unusual potential hazardous event.

Let's here it for right wingers, screw the left hypocrites, California preaching alternative energy when most of the power is coming from dirty coal plants in five other states that they pay for because they can't agree on building any in their state in 25 years while the population has doubled.  Screw your electric cars  when the battery production produces more pollution than a car driven 150,000 miles and the battery want last 100,000 miles and the power to recharge the battery for your green car will come from a coal plant. ABSOLUTELY HYPOCRITICAL BULLSHIT.

This is crazy, after waiting 25 years, they finally build a few power plants and then after all the bitching, zoning, meetings, hearings, protests, they close them early or not use them at all. Maybe the money could have funded the 135 billion shortfall in the pension plans that will bankrupt soon, but no worries this democratic utopia that will soon have a 20 billion debt for high speed rail if they can con the rest of the country to pay for it and a 400 billion dollar a year universal statewide insurance coverage plan paid for by the hollywood elite for the illegal underclass because other than government middle class workers, all of the other middle class workers are leaving.crying

Something China does well is fireworks.

I was walking around one new years eve - or it may have been lantern festival, don't remember now but it seemed like literally every family was outside letting off fireworks, big ones that rattle windows and set off car alarms.

It was pretty impressive but I have to admit I was worried about losing an eye or something to some idiot firing the things around without thinking where they were going and who might be walking in front at the time. High powered fireworks require common sense, and that can be in short supply sometimes.

The hospitals must be packed with burn victims after a festival involving fireworks.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
