Q: Comic book heroes super popular here - why?
Transformers, Iron Man, Batman, Spiderman, is it because this is all that gets past censors or is it they just like them for the escapism?

Everybody loves superheroes isn't it obvious? There is one thing in this world that won't change and that's good and evil. It exists! So you can't just deny it, it's there for everyone to enjoy!
tom and jerry from the 1950s and ultraman from 1965, ask a kid about power rangers and ninja turtles and they say who is that. guess they have to wait for copyright owner to die.
stills better than crappy Japanese manga . Those great artworks won't die everywhere in the world.
Because they are followers of everything popular 5 years prior. Lensless frames, top 40 music, clothing, apple products, hairstyles etc. Comic books received a surge in popularity around the time Iron Man, Transformers and The Dark Knight came out. Posers in the west have already moved on to the next fad.

umm... the next fad? Ironman 3 just came out with Superman, Spiderman 2, Avengers 2, X-Men franchise and many more already on the docket.

I used to watch those when I was a kid. All my friends did too. I still read a comic book here and there. Last time I checked, they are still popular in Hollywood. Why is this even a question? They are popular most everywhere. Why not China too?
