Q: A dalu axiom on man and woman, from the locals. Do you agree?
I heard this dalu axiom from the locals. I suppose you can say it is a universal truth, but the way they say and mean it is, this is the way things ought to be, as natural as breathing. The term 'bad' in this context refers to sex primarily (mistresses, sleeping with the boss / whoever can give you favors, open backdoors.....). I feel a shudder with these 'people', the way they think, ie their mass consciousness. What about you? Here is their axiom.
Man turns bad when he becomes rich, woman grows rich when she turns bad.
Not just Dalu ren... I think this is a world-wide phenomenon.
In patriarchal societies, rich men are the power... and women get what htey want by attaching themselves to those men (and, many will do anything it takes to get that).
WE have two sayings that connect the two ... Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And, "Everyone has a price".
Add to those.... the infamous "First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the woman".
Statistically speaking, women are more willing to change cultures and attitudes to advance themselves than men are. This is why us laowai can get a pretty girl easily. We're perceived to be a better option. It also explains why so many women are willing to be mistresses (or to tolerate mistresses) to (comparatively) rich men.

Why need money? To survive, food and shelter. ie bare minimum
Why want (notice, want and need is different, want is prefer to have more, need is you must, like a human needs air to live)money? To live a better life, a home with an air con, travel around, get at least one mistress (joking).
So, Money, to meet needs to survive = source of all evil. Money, to meet wants to enjoy life = source of all evil.
Reducing this to a simpler form.
The need to survive is the source of all evil.
The desire to enjoy life is the source of all evil.

Two more reasons for wanting money which is especially true for daluren --- 1. face. i.e. to show off, to beat others by claiming to be superior, financially. 2. inflict suffering upon others, using money as a weapon, like buying up properties in other countries for speculative purposes, jerking up prices so much that average citizens of these countries can no longer afford them.
