They probably get the runs there because it is a change of diet. A lot of Chinese people have told me that the food in another country makes them sick

The body has to get used to different kinds of bacteria every time you move somewhere that's a lot different than what you're used to. Runs are sometimes a part of that. Try drinking real milk to introduce good bacteria into your digestive tract.

I think you are assuming that the Chinese have the runs like us in China. They are probably fine at home....enough white rice I guess, and used to whatever chemicals or bacteria may be in the food. I think they might have the same intestinal shock in NA that we get here.

Hahaha. Interesting. I think that maybe if they start eating a ton of food with cheese, then yes.

Mostly though, here in China, people get the runs due to a ton of weird bacteria that gets introduced into their bodies that they are not used to. The Chinese have grown up with it, so it doesn't bother them apparently. After being here for a while you too will build up a resistance.

Either way though, from what I've seen from overseas Chinese, they don't really try new foods all that much and stick to eating Chinese or Chinese style food. That, coupled with strict sanitation and food safety practices in the US, I don't think they have many issues.

Unless of course their bodies are so accustomed to being assaulted with microbes that it reacts funny to sanitary conditions and gives them the runs. Laughing out loud
