Q: Do Chinese living abroad find life dull?
Out of the mainland Chinese who've moved abroad, if only for a few months or even weeks, did they find life boring? Here things are so fast-paced that from my experience the Chinese I've talked to just couldn't adapt.
It also didn't help that very few made any foreign friends over there...
My Chinese wife lived in the US for several years. She did find the life kind of boring and very quiet. She loved how easy life was in the US, but she missed the constant social interaction that she had in in China. In the end, she couldn't adjust to life without her friends and family around her which is the main reason why I ended up moving to China.
You would probably find it is the same ratio as westerners who cant handle China and have to head home.
My sister in-law lasted 3 days in Australia before heading back to the airport
Im shore there are plenty of people in the same boat all over the world
Different horses for different courses so to speak
