Most of the questions are sort of complains..China don't have this..dont have that..Still they prefer to stay here. Why? Is it true that many are here because they don't have a job in their own country?

I became an English teacher (and came to China), because I met Chinese girl, with 'not survivable' English level. She wanted to join me in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, where I lived in 2009, butt...I thought life would be very difficult for her (and me with her) there, because of her low English level.
My friends suggested, I could be teaching English in China. I finished English teaching course, and became English teacher in China instead.
So you're complaining about people complaining?
The worst offenders seem to be the ones who ask "Why is China better?" or "Why I no get teaching English job?"
GuilinRaf:
Um, if you have actually been to China for more than a one month holiday, you would know that those who complain about China are not wumao's.
That honor goes to the ones who only have praise for the middle kingdom, even in the face of disaster, etc.
And, they are generously compensated for it, at the price of 5 maos per post.
My girlfriends brother brags how he made nearly 200 RMB one summer, three years ago.

A wumao would be somebody who made statements like "foreigners can't get jobs in their own country."
I think it's just the fact that people who are irritated or annoyed tend to be more vocal than those who are relatively happy.
We call it venting, just because there are more 'vents' on here than 'good old China' threads does not necessarily mean most people in balance aren't happy to be here, just that the dissatisfaction is louder than the contrary case.
If you have a question it means you don't know the answer and you are trying to figure something out. You can't really call that a complaint. Also, I've noticed people posting articles to back up what they are asking.
Some people do ask questions like where can I find or why isn't there it's because they don't know the real answer to it. I always ask this question to myself where can I find a certain type of icecream. I've been to many places still haven't found it. THe only place that I know sells this type of Ice cream is Korea, but still it could be possible that they sell it here too I just haven't found it yet. That's not a complaint! It's asking a question to try to find out if someone has seen that type of icecream here.
GuilinRaf:
I thought so too.
Dont know why some people seem to downvote him automatically, even when he does give a good answer.
Seems though as if he does not mind....

Well said 99! That's funny that you mentioned Korea. I'll mention South Korea in particular. To my surprise here in China, I did find a particular ice cream that I used to enjoy in South Korea. In fact, I found a bakery run by a female South Korean in my area. All genuine South Korean stuff!
ok, if i find out taxis are not picking me up because i'm a foreigner i should keep my mouth shut as if it is a state secret? (ccp thinking ) or should i ask a forum of expats to find out more info ?
very simple if you do not like people talking about the good and bad about china (only wanting people to say good things about china) then you should work with your fellow chinese to fix it ( stop pooping in the gym showers/ trains/ planes/ malls/ busy streets) or find a ccp approved website.
the enemy of my enemy is my friend, lets make money together, thats why western countries are here and the citizens of those countries. the question is long term, was it a good idea or a long term failure in making china a modern developed country. time will tell
