We've been told over and over that he is in the transit area of Moscow airport, has anybody actually seen him?
For all we know he could be in Timbuktu. I think that I saw him in the crowd at Wimbledon yesterday but on the other hand there was a large number of nare do wells in the Royal Box.
My bet is that he's still in China.
He already left it was confirmed. Wow you posted this about 4 hours ago? This story is pretty old news. The russians already said he went through the airport. And venezuela or some country like that said they would help him. You are pretty late and not keeping up to date on your current events I see. Wimbledon is already over Andy Murray won!
The question is, was he ever really there? Is there really an Edward Snowden?
uberkind:
For all we know YOU could be Edward Snowden. Or it could be me or any of the critics of the american way of life, death, spying et al. Look behind you, he could be anywhere.
I'm sure the americans will catch him and dispose of him in the manner befitting a world hero.
Do we care, that is the question, the man published secret documents the we already know about; he then continued to publicly state that America spies on other countries too, really, sure, we didn't know that, and now he is saying that Germany is in on it, the same country who requested the US to explain, what a joke of a man, go public with some real sh*t, hang him by the neck until he is dead dead dead, not because he is a traitor, but by forcing me to see his frontline news pages filled with things I already know about, yes Snowden, this has got to be the most ignorant thing any American has done in the world of spies, idiot.
uberkind:
You appear to be somewhat embarrassed and confused. All relatively well informed people know, and have known for years that all countries spy on each other. Some people are surprised and disappointed that friends spy on friends, hence the embarrassment in Europe and the USA. 'Shame' on the USA for spying on the European Community, 'shame' on the UK for spying on it's European partners, 'shame' on the UK, France and Germany for spying on the USA.
This is nothing new, I think that what irks americans most is that even more of their dirty laundry is being exposed to the world community and the laundry is even dirtier than usual and all this exposed by a clean upstanding all american boy who is now being vilified as a traitor of the worst kind.
Did he tell the Chinese anything they did not already know? Of course not, he just exposed the hypocrisy of the spying game. There will be more to come, the USA will shrug off the inevitable outrage as usual, 'one rule for them and no rules for us attitude' and the world will still orbit the sun.
The big and only question is - is the ruling elite of the USA circumventing the 4th amendment to the US constitution by spying on it's own people?
Perhaps the answer to your question is - we must care before it's too late.
Uber, read my post again, that is what Im saying, but constitution, really? You actually believe you have rights? Not saying that it is bad or good but America is a country of freedom with consequence, which in its very foundation is contradictive, this is coming from an American lawyer. And no, I do not care, because if you do nothing wrong, then their is no prosecution, so, if you are dressing up like a girl holding your penis between your legs looking in the mirror and do not want to be caught, do not take pictures and selfies and post them online.

"If you do nothing wrong then you have nothing to hide." These were the words certain people were saying in Germany in the 20s and 30s as they rounded up people for the final solution. History has a habit of repeating itself.
Uber, touche, I do admit the government should be kept in check but in reality there is not much we can do except revolt, recycle and do it all over again. Besides, WW1 was actually created by expanding businesses that wanted it to happen to sell their products, WW11 on Germany's side was actually perpetrated by America and England, it was we that made Hitler the man he was, and as for Japan during this time, I find it funny that before they invaded China, America, the largest importer of natural resources, cut them off completely for no apparent reason, lead to the invasion of China and later Pearl Harbor. Uber, I do not want to banter with you, you seem like an intelligent guy, but the only way to change world, is to end the world, it is only going to get worse, for example, we are in China, could you imagine a zombie outbreak, we are screwed.
Hugh, too much time is needed besides, we are up to WWZ, what a terrible movie and I love zombie movies, and living in China, I get to see them everyday, people, not movies by the way
They've got him! They being the press of course. He's been photographed at Moscow airport. Big article about him in today's Guardian. He's just had a meeting with a number of Human Rights groups and the Russians have offered him asylum.
He was in mainland China a few weeks ago.
I doubt he was in the Russian airport until recently, when he called that press conference. The Russians have offered him aslyum, but it came with conditions that he had to "stop harming our western allies." He rejected that. I do not know any current info at this time... the Russians may have modified their conditions if he really did accept asylum there.
