I have a big crush on Zhang Zhen, but he's from Taiwan so strictly speaking, not Chinese. I first noticed him in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as the rugged desert thief with the long hair, riding on horseback and eventually falling in love with the moron Zhang Ziyi (hated her character in that film).

I also like Liu Ye, who I first noticed in the film Balzac and the Little Seamstress, but has since appeared in numerous films including the recent one with Shu Qi (A Beautiful Life, 再也不让你孤单).

I think Ge You is a good actor, the problem is that he is in way too many movies and commercials...I mean come one Ge You take a break!

Also as far as music I am forever a fan of Beyond...they have so many great songs...just a shame that happened to them.

Donnie Yen! While growing up I used to like Jackie Chan (the Police Story films are absolute classics!!), then Jet Li took over with Shaolin Temple and the Huang Fei Hong series (Once Upon a Time in China 1-3), but now Donnie Yen is without a doubt the best martial arts actor in China. He oozes charisma, his martial arts are at the same time classic and innovative, and he has the best teeth in the industry!

What a guy. I'd sure like to go for a cup of tea with him.

Zhang Zi Yi.  (I think that is how it is spelled.)  I barely know who she is but I love telling the locals that she is my favorite because of the reactions I get.  (For some reason they tend to really hate her.)
