Q: Do you have a plan if the USA attacks North Korea?

I am living in California now. I just hope that we do not see a North Korean submarine off our coast or have a NK agent put something in the water here. I have my emergency supplies for earthquakes, but that is about it.

seems hard to imagine, but I guess Squidgy has painted himself into a corner.  He probably has to keep up the 'Strong Man' act or his inner goon-squad would off him. Funny how a Military Industrial Complex works.  Many sources say the citizenry of DPRK suffers from food shortages, yet fknutz and his cronies find the do re mi to build big boys toys.  What the fk did Korea fight itself for anyway?  At least the US supposedly had reasons for its bloody (600,000+ casualties) Civil War (State's rights, election of Lincoln, slavery, etc.).

Humans are weird.

I'll probably cancel my Dragon Boat Festival trip to Dandong!

Stiggs:

I'd go to Dandong just to stand on that half bridge, or maybe up on the great wall overlooking the border and watch the action surprise

You're in California and worrying about this? Wow!

Stiggs:

There are probably any number of groups who would love to poison the water or gas a subway or something.

I doubt the North Koreans are as much of a risk as some of the other nutters out there.

The only people that would die in the event of open hostilities are the Koreans (both) and the Japanese.....probably millions. But if you are really concerned about global thermonuclear war then place your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye.

Why the Japanese?

I could see the crazy fat kid deciding to bomb Japan just out of resentment at them being American allies and worse still, successful where NK isn't.

China too maybe, for similar reasons. Especially if he thinks him and the family dictatorship are finished.

A korean war would be a horrific thing and lets all hope it doesn't happen, but like others have said unless you are living in Korea or possibly Japan a korean war (outside of economic consequences) isn't likely to be something you need a "plan" for.

Not to minimize the losses, which would be extreme and tragic, but if you live in USA you are safe. North Korea even in it's death throes can't really hurt you in California.

If you want to oppose the war focus on the real tangible tragedy on the table which is that Seoul would likely be left a pile a rubble with millions dead in any conflict. Don't make up or exaggerate ancillary dangers that your opponents can dismiss as partisan hysteria.

A million dead and the loss of one of the powerhouse cities of the world is reason enough to stand against a war.

Hopefully congress will not allow Trump to launch a preemptive strike. Under the constitution N Korea must act first, Or at least there must be a plausible and real threat to the US. It is almost laughable to think Kimmy posses a threat to the existence of the US. Kimmy is a suicidal boy bent on a wish to re-unite Korea under his command. Fat chance (pun intended) that will happen. I am sure military commanders know it would be unwise to Launch ballistic missiles in the direction of Asia. To answer your question: I plan to go back to China like I always do every year. But this time I will make it a point to stay away from North East China. That is because that is where all the starving and newly free (even by Chinese standards) North Korean people will be flooding into for safety and food.

Bush set the precedent for starting an illegal war and Obama used that same precedent, Trump will use the same precedent.  The American public is too stupid and the media is incompetent

I'm not sure what Trump will do with North Korea, but the problem has been around for over 60 years and he will will not pass the problem to the next president.

Korea will reunite, China will take it over, or a new non family leader will run the country.

Trump does not give a rat's ass which one happens, he just wants the problem gone. American leaders have been stupid about Korea for the last 25 years, first removing nuclear weapons from South Korea, then giving nuclear technology to North Korea for peaceful purposes. the dumbass Jimmy Carter did this with Clinton's blessing and probably got a useless nobel prize for it, don't remember, then Bush giving them the north money and blackmail financial aid.

This shit needs to end regardless of the death and destruction, hell are we going to play this game with Kim Fatty's grandson in the next century, Probably, it keeps the politicians and expert compromising, diplomatic ass kissers in their jobs. and the world keeps on spinning.

philbravery:

Trump will order the military to get rid of the problem harware and China will role in and take control till a reunification plan can be rolled out. Everyone wins ...Unless you are king fatty or the poor Bastards in the way.

But... 'reunification' and 'China' aren't two things that sit well in a sentence... the South is NOT going to just allow China to take over the politics, and China will not allow a democracy US-style....

Remember, this whole problem of NK & SK started because China was on one side and the US was on the other... when it all boils down, nothing has really changed (other than the Kim dynasty).

China would set a strict policy and rules for us to follow, so I would follow the rules during such a conflict and sit back at the church and pray for as many lives that can be saved, Only get Kimmy! But I wouldn't leave China unless ordered out.
