Q: Do you have school zone speed limits in your China city?
I don't teach and actually never thought about this until a nice fight this week.
I'm walking on a wide two lane road that crosses over a major 4 lane road and this car comes flying around the corner onto the 2 lane and a foreigner is crossing the road about 200 meters down the road from the intersection to the entrance gate of a high school. The car doing about 80 km/hr goes to the left around the foreigner crossing, the foreigner saw nothing coming and then the car comes around the corner, the foreigner startled by the car horn on the wrong side of the road calls the driver a mf asshole and gives him the universal middle finger.
This is when everything went wrong, the car screeched to a stop and the 3 Chinese men were surprised when the foreigner ran up to the drivers door ready to pounce on the driver, a little shocked he still gets our screaming at the pedestrian foreigner, then the foreigner with long arms grabs his neck with the left hand and his crotch with the right and with bended knees picks up and throws the driver on to the roof of his own car. It was a nice move, nicely executed fireman's carry in reverse, then the other front passenger comes out with a knife and I'm thinking where is a cold beer and popcorn when you need it.
The knife handler is holding it underhanded (amateur) oh well. he falls for the spin distraction move ( this is getting boring),
when the knife is pointed at you, you glance to the right like your surprised and then the knife holder glances and you spin around left behind the right shoulder placing your right foot in front of his legs, grab the back collar with your left hand and shove him to the ground and sit on his lower back and slam his right arm into the pavement dislodging the knife, very professionally done in less than 5 seconds,
this foreigner is crazy though, he picks the guy up from behind by his belt and kicks the knife over and motions for the guy to try again,
At this point the Chinese guys pile in the car and leave.(damn the shows over already)
I never met the guy, western looking, but i noticed 2 little speed breakers that nobody slows down for and no warnings about a school zone, in the states, most have a limit of 25, Florida is 15 mph,
Apparently the foreigner was well known, the guards at the high school were placing bets on how fast all 3 guys would be on the ground, my neighbor told me the same foreigner broke up a fight were a father and son were beating up a school security guard last year and the foreigner put them both in the hospital. His wife is a daughter of a General, so that explains nobody bothering the guy.
I have been looking at school zones a little closer now and it seems your safe inside but not right outside, although usually primary schools are so crowded outside you can't really speed, but not the upper level schools. There is one high school that ends classes at 10 pm and everybody leaves on bikes in the dark with the dark clothes, no reflectors, I just shake my head in disbelief.

The Chinese are bad drivers,they just dont care,they think they can drive and use there mobile phones,they drive at you,they dont look when the pull out from a park,.
Chinese drivers that drive big expensive cars think they own the bloody road.I could go on and on and on about this.no one gives a shit about anyone,no one gives a shit about road safety.

I find appalling trucks, buses wouldn't stop, when kid is crossing. Disgusting! I couldn't sleep at night, if I'd do the same as a driver.
The junior schools in the area I live have barriers on the roads that go by them. When its starting or finishing time, they close the roads. These are small roads tho, not multilane highways. All the parents or grandparents line up on the closed road before beeping into the schools to pick up the kids.
They need to beep in, collect kid from teacher, and then beep out, with security checking everything.
However, once out of this "controlled" area, it just becomes the usual madness of grandparents and kids walking on the road with a total lack of awareness for their surroundings.

I crossed the traffic light crossing daily with bunch of kids, some with mothers from my Primary, so I stepped few meters into the zebra, stopped all MF cars, and let kids cross the road....with pedestrian's GREEN light on.
I was like 'I need a whistle', so the shortest way to the whistle was 'get it of the cop' 
by show&tell.
Once he understood, what I want, he was like 'follow me'....cost 3 Rmb.
Kids are crossing, me with briefcase and whistle in me mouth, first stopped car 'cop's': 'bliiiinggg, bluing..horn sounds', me very pissed walking toward the cop's car: 'EXCUSE me....MF!'..... Meiyou 'guanxi' with me!

First, I thought you'll describe my city , but then 'no'....
I cross the city roads in China similar as in West (I am saying 'similar', 'cause I cross even on red, if no cars) : 'me, walker first, all cars must stop or hit me! Sometimes cars, taxis especially drive around me.'
Chinese pedestrians don't cross the road, even if there's green light for pedestrians, 'cause drivers in China don't respect 'green for pedestrians', but 'I am wealthier than you ...' thingy.
Sometimes, I am not sure, if waiting pedestrians aren't surprised and just watch my action....
I am LMAO, while I am writing this....
I am 175cm with some 65kg, i.e. not too strong looking, heart beat some 3 or 4 times a minute, very similar to elephant's
rate .... (exaggeration, but very cool!).
I had only one similar altercation in Dalian: 'I was crossing the road on zebra (no lights) and BMW circled around me and passed in front of me. I spit some thick-glue-ee-thing, which hit passing car's side window. BM? (meiyou 'W', 'cause..continue ...) was spotless clean, before we met.
Driver stopped his car, exited and grabbed my collar .... I can't describe what I did (too long), but it was Jiu-jitsu move I learned, while attending some 10-years of Uechi-ryu course
with start as 11 years old ..... This move can break one's arm bone, if applied with full power (leverage on the bone with twist), and if I am in the better mood as in Dalian, driver was only forced to kneel....with huge pain in the back-bone and his face heading toward 'I'll kiss the ground'.
Uechi-ryu is Jap's Martial Arts school from Okinawa.
The most beautiful part of this (any) Martial Arts school is rule 'Never, ever attack! Use knowledge only in self-defence' ....
Did you know, if one's fist (first two knuckles) hit another's person's 'Adam's apple', you're dead? Knife or no knife ....

'LT hold' is term which could also be translated to ''you'll get up-yours (eventually)'', so I absent.

House will get all your money by the end of the day. I like to stay in Casino long time only because players get free booze. One shouldn't spend more money at the table than booze would cost you. LOL
At the Stock market trading, my opponent is MM (market maker) with loads and loads of cash, which I can never match. I read and constantly observe chart of security I am invested.
Trading is hard work, which requires constant observing of particular stock chart and daily gathering information on the security. One can never say: 'I am in LT-hold'.
I am out of active trading, because whole matter became too manipulated by the Banks, so I said: 'fuk it!'
Only security you won't get fuked is bullion, IMO. That's the only LT hold I am involved. Hoarding ....is proper word. .
There are few problems with bullion, 'storage' as the most important:
- you can't store it in the Bank or any similar institution, because when shit-hits-the-fan, storage facility will almost certainly confiscate your holdings!
- you can't freely travel with bullion. Crossing the border with it is either limited (China - 50 grams of gold or silver) or it's heavily taxed.
- best storage facility is on the bottom of the sea or lake. You need boat and some rope.
Investing in bullion is entirely different game than holding cash or security.

I looked at NBGGY quickly (I am waiting for the chart to load): at such stock, you can't say '....if you're optimistic'. You'll get hurt with such 'attitude'. This is not LTHold stock. For LTH of this stock, you have to get price advance first, which will match several diff. indicators. ('golden cross'=cross between 50MA&200MA, 'huge volume increase'=MMs are buying, 'BB''s nice view ...).
You can make monies by trading it with observing short term charts (1', 1h, 24h), in other words 'in & out' not daily (24h), but 1', 30',, but real trading of such stock is complicated. Believe me, the easiest is to write about it.
I'd say, when you're convinced you could make money on stock, make paper trades (no money involved), first. Paper trading is highly recommended ALWAYS, before you want to sink your money in and even, if you are successful at paper trading, you can get hurt when trading with real monies.
If you start trading immediately with real money, IT WILL BE PAINFUL!, i.e. ''Don't do it!''.
Paper trading is the best lesson/practice you can learn. For free and without loss! Good luck!

'Malakia' (another expression of the same word, means 'shitty' I think). Poster's saying 'in&out' with investing trade's profit into Gold, meaning many short trades in a day, and then, if lucky move to EDIT: not bullion! .. 'move to GDX/'paper gold' or similar Gold's symbol'), but to get 20% advance in Gold (symbol), you'll need a year, if not longer.
It isn't good advice, IMO! For such (day) trading you need to master/use indicators as L2 (watch MMs placing trades in real time-fee is required for L2), BB and similar.
My fav indicators are 'Volume, Bollinger Bands, ADX ( Advance Decline Index) and sometimes Aroon. I am telling you all my secret recipes...
You're better off, if you head to Atlantic City and skip Greeks.. This isn't LTH, unless you're 2 years old, i.e. 'you have time to wait for profit at your 20th BD'. LOL

The IMF and the EU are negotiating a bailout involving Greece, about 6 months away. It would have been done already but Brexit upset the apple cart for a while. The only long term I track is CCC bounces 12 to 20 consistently for last 10 years, bought in and out over 30 times.

The roads very small children walk (in groups but without adults) are usually extremely dangerous and I wonder how is it I don't see a dead child daily. No one cares, I point out cars driving fast where children are walking and I get that same look, why do you care?

While I totally get the need for such things, it doesn't help when even the pedestrains don't care!
I live in a university zone, and so often I see students crossing against the lights. Deserve to get hit!

In my DT, roads (all 4 toward the crossing's centre) are boarded on both sides with some 140 cm high fence. Fence is longer than 1 km.... If you want to cross the road, you must walk over the bridge with some 50 stairs up, walk across the bridge and walk down (50 stairs again) and finally you crossed the road. All roads in DT are with same set-up.
There's another choice-'off-course': 'jump over the fence (me) and cross the road between driving cars'.
It is similar set-up in Bj by the West Railway Station, but fence isn't longer than 100 m or so.
I mean, I don't even go to DT, because of that.
My apartment is in DT's vicinity (some 2km away). Last week they boarded one side of the road below my apt. building, installed cameras on crossings, buTT .... there's no bridge
, yet.
Way toward Walmart (500 m off my apartment building) is all boarded on one side already and I must walk on the WM's opposite side of the road, and when I am close to WM, I can cross only on the crossing regulated by traffic lights.... or 'jumping' ....
There are big Gov.'s building on the WM's side of the road, so no need for jumping .....
We have rules in Guizhou ..... Cop's tow trucks circling the roads all the time. I've never seen tow truck anywhere else in China.
This sounds like my school actually but nobody would be stupid enough to start a fight with me here. I don't think there is even a speed sign on the street within 200 meters of this school, never mind flashing lights or school zone signs, Since labor for working on a car is cheap, they speed over speed bumps here because an alignment if they even bother to get one is pretty inexpensive, but about 50 to 100 dollars in the west depending on the model car you drive.
