Q: Do you see countless stickers on the pavement in your city?

And on lamposts, walls, bus stops, subway stations...usually they're advertising flats to rent it appears, and there have been a few times I've seen the culprits - teenage boys who walk down the street peeling the plastic off the stickers and just tossing them casually aside as they stick the posters on such surfaces. It's one of my main pet peeves in China and there has been a couple of times I've either almost shouted at them or grabbed their pile of stickers and thrown in the trash. I restrained myself however as I didn't want any trouble (who knows what kind of people they work for), and just ended up giving them my usual scornful frowning expression. Do you see this where you are?  How have you/would you react/reacted?

This is one of those micro-economies that I'm convinced only exists in China (to create menial jobs for the masses). You'll see someone come by stickering the ground and then 20 minutes later someone else will come along to scrape them all up. It's like it never happened, while 2 more people are employed.

Nope doesn't bother me one bit. Especially since they get taken down every 24 hours. Also a lot of these advertisements are small mom and pop type businesses simply trying to live their dream of running a successful business.

As for the kids putting them up, you certainly can't get mad at them. They are simply kids working a job for low pay, just trying to get some extra money. They aren't harming anyone or causing any problems.

Even I have gone around and put up flyers like this when I use to do English tutoring. They always got taken down within 24 hours and I would just put more up. It resulted in me getting a lot of new clients though,  so I can see why other people do it, it does work and it's a very cheap form of avertisement.

There's much bigger problems in China to worry about (especially in regards to trash/pollution)  than these stickers that actually do get cleaned up pretty quick usually.

The only ones that would bother me a bit are the people who spray paint or write phone numbers on the ground/walls. This are much harder to clean up obviously. I think that's going a bit far to spray paint your phone number on a sidewalk.

I see that a lot but it doesn't bother me that much when i see it on the street. However I am still not used to seeing all the ads and phone numbers inside my building, on the stairs or sometimes even inside the lift.

I've seen this happening where I'm at. I also see people sticking those cards on the subway occasionally. They don't even look at people they just stick and go stick and go. I don't want to follow them, but I always find myself looking puzzled everytime they do this. I use to do active advertising before, but not like that.

How have/would I react/reacted? I have/would ask/tell them to throw/take each sticker/picture in the trash/dustbin quickly/immediately before I kicked/punched them in the nuts/goolies. No, truthfully i'm not bothered by people littering. You drop a sweet wrapper on the floor here and some old woman's swiped it up before it's hit the floor/ground.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
