For those of you who came here to work / teach. How often do you study Chinese?
Do you really want to learn it, or do you just learn what is needed to get by?
I myself am at a very basic level, but try to put in a few hours a week studying.
11 years 40 weeks ago in Teaching & Learning - China
I'll go hit up a Chinese learning website when I get bored. Otherwise, I don't put a whole lot of effort into it. It's quite convenient sometimes when I don't feel like conversing with someone....ting bu dong (it's usually true).
yeah i do , i study Chinese e 5 days a week to make my speaking more and more strong and my line of work is hard so i have to understand even a single word
i used to study it almost everyday , i would listen to chinese mp3 audio teaching chinese.
chinese podcast, chinese music.
then gradually i lost interest. now i am trying again to get on the track.
No, the Chinese study me (everywhere I go in public).
I have learned Chinese language in Tongji University in shanghai for eight months which is the amount of time required to learn the language before beginning your major in Chinese, I study business administration in Chinese language in Nanjing , got to tell you its very difficult and challenging, just have too many Chinese friends to practice your language and do much mp3 audio listening and much readying then try to use what you
learn daily to practice with your fellow foreigners and Chinese people as well , it will work little by little. remember for any language, you first have to learn to listen the language then speak then read writting is always the last, as the four grammatical units in any language are listening, speaking, reading and writting, the two former being active while the two later being passive. good luck.
not really, well in my flat i practice writing and chaligraphy and i learn how to speak through friends and students
当然学啊,但我应该多学一点.我是一个懒虫,每一天都看电脑玩游戏什么的.晚上也一样,回家以后我不学习,只看电视,喝酒,and play with my nob.
I do when I have free time. I got a little pocket book that I read on the subway when I'm taking that 1 hour ride to my final destination. Other than that I always say those basic lines in chinese when I'm ordering something or asking a question such as "how much does this cost"? or "I want to go here"
I have great plans and books to study Chinese but so far I am seriously too busy. Dang.
