I doubt it the chinese medicine I took nearly made me throw up! I don't mind the cough syrup they have but that other medicine I will stay away from.

It is possible that acupuncture and other TCM physiotherapy methods such as massage can help relieve neurologic symptoms during relapses of multiple sclerosis. I doubt if TCM herbal medicine can help at all. It is better to consult TCM doctors if you want to try it.

...and when consulting the Chinese doctors remember to keep in mind that they will always say they can help you, because not saying so would be a loss of face.

I doubt a TCM doctor can even diagnose MS.

I agree that acupuncture could have some beneficial effects to lessen the symptoms of MS.

The diagnosis would be something in the lines of "bad air in the head".

Yes... http://www.yinyanghouse.com/treatments/acupuncture_for_multiple_sclerosis and http://www.itmonline.org/arts/ms&tcm.htm

However, to be perfectly honest, I'd suggest you try a practitioner outside of China They tend to be better versed in actually trying to help you - and hopefully, in acknowledging when they've either made a mistake, or can suggest better or additional (complementary) treatment protocols.

For the symptoms, MAYBE.....

To be honest, I have tried TCM on many occasions. In fact, I truly believed in it when I came to China.

However, experience has taught me otherwise. It has NEVER helped me. And with a degenerative condition like multiple sclerosis, I dont think you should be gambling with TCM  unless you do so IN CONJUNCTION with more scientific medicine. Use both? I see no real harm. Use only TCM? I would not risk it, but that is just me.

Then again, maybe my six years and 8 doctors in two provinces just simply is bad luck...
