Q: Does your boss come to office everyday to monitor you to do work?
It does not mean that I would not do my work without him here but it is just uncomfortable to have boss around.

I don't get monitored personally because I don't have formal office hours like the rest of the staff but I can say that on the boss's day off nothing much gets done in the office aside from a lot of gossiping, playing with wechat,sleeping on desks and slurping noodles.

You answered my post during workin time too. Empolyee will do work but need some person space too. I hate my boss comes to the office everyday from Monday to Friday.
He has time to monitor us,why not he spend his time on opening a good business channel? He paid me nice salary but do not invest much on business and the company business sucks.
I stay here only for getting the money and looking forward to my job application results in Germany. Otherwise I will change to a more useful company in Shanghai rather than wasting my time on doing a useless job only for money.
No sales ever did good sales by his less invested useless business channels. His busines channels are strongly proved to be useless and he still have not changed them to a good one like alibaba. The only sales who can make sales in my company is someone took his old company's businesses and bring them to this company. And he only have two sales,he and I. Job satification is very important as well as salary.

Obviously its gonna make you uncomfortable... Its evident that you ve been eating meals only once a day and that also noodles mixed in water just to buy face (i mean ipad) and so you also had your internet connection disconnected to save a few rmbs the last 12 months...finally you have an ipad but you dont have internet connection at your room and the polish wont give you the password for his wifi bcoz he knows you wanna exhibit your ass to half of the world... this leaves you with one choice..show your butt during office hours..Now that;s gonna make one uncomfortable if the boss is just standing and doing nothing...it helps if he is involved in the live show..but what a pity, he has already has his heart fill of share during the good old times when you were not so indiscriminate coz he doesnt own one of the blue passport ...
No, I haven't seen my boss since last December. Sometimes I don't see my office's head manager for a week or two. All the guidelines are being posted on the network, no need for meetings since Chinese managers never listen to their staff anyway.
my "boss" comes everyday after work and mentions that I am 懒惰 , Lazy, Lǎnduò, as I relax on the sofa (couch potato) and she comes home with the groceries and gets back to work making dinner. what she doesn't know is how hard it is to keep this place working. the plumbing and the electrical mostly. Why do you feel uncomfortable when your boss is around, are you really that insecure in your abilities. Any who is confident about their abilities would not feel uncomfortable just because their boss is around. I never had that feeling around my bosses, most of the time we were on first name terms and I have never given my employees any reason to feel that way.
After disagreements, my boss gets more uncomfortable with me. He currently delegated the task to a shareholder, and that guy is nice. I'm guessing he likes one of the female staff, because everybody gets Iced Tea when he's around.
my boss touches me lovingly on the shoulder and stares longingly at my large breasts (that i got from 20 years of breast feeding!) My boss is always watching over my shoulder and picking out every little mistake. When I make a mistake, I get criticized and I stress out.
When I screw up, my boss starts swearing and cursing and it makes me upset. I have a crazy asshole boss!

Tiger Vicky, speaky speaky, no thinky. As I mentioned I read the passage somewhere and thought that applied to your complaint. I wasn't directly calling you a loser. The article mentions that people who only make excuses are not very good. You complained that you couldn't get sales then explained how it is the fault.of.the boss. In my opinion an employee is paid to do something. In your case you are employed by a company in Shanghai and paid a decent wage. You should at least try and earn that wage by making sales. Like I mentioned before you should seek out new customers. Your complaint is similar to a criminal complaining that there are too many police. If you are doing your job it doesn't matter if your boss is there. BTW, some people might think I hit close to the mark if you react so strongly.
Some bosses can be micro-managing a-holes. some people dont mind while others hate it. im the latter. if you are the latter too might i suggest an exit plan.
