Weakening America helps China. Lowering taxes on the rich and increasing taxes on the poor creates more debt and hurts the economy!

earthizen:

The whooping cut from 35% to 20% of profit tax obviously benefits businesses of all sizes. To those owners who are struggling to make ends meet it is water in the desert.

The most important bit is the HUGE astronomical figures American business monies (profits of MNCs and wealthy individuals, expats included) which are 'stuck' outside of USA because of the high profit tax they are subjected to pay if they come home.

Thousands of trillions.  When they are 'allowed back', ho ho ho.....their owners would not allow them to sit still. Infrastructure investment, research, job opportunities.....

Even the international currencies market will be affected as these monies are converted back to usd.  Other developed countries may be forced to copy these tax cuts or else the whole world's capitals flock to America.

This is a good way to turn the table against sleazy thug china, short of going WW III route which china is betting the Yankees dare not even dream thinking of, and capitalise fully on this archilles heel of America and other developed countries, while it continues to build up military strengths like 1930's Germany.  It is war, economic and cultural, for the time being, for these souless beings.

The problem, we're talking about different aspects of the tax bill. That part is great but the parts dealing with cuts on income taxes for high earners and increases for low income people, not good

When the low income group sees the jobs materializing, and then higher pay (next phase) as businesses compete for labor due to shortages they would laugh. They wouldn't be screwed as there are unions and thus collective bargaining.

The jobs are not going to materialize in the US, jobs are going overseas where the labor is cheaper.

For the average American citizen, this so called tax cut is the height of stupidity.

Because they can't see the immediate benefits?

Seems like it only benefits the top 1%.  For the average Joe Schmuck the taxes will actually increase.  Or so I understand it.  This action is mostly for show by the republican party.  (It has been said that this bill will pass in both chambers irregardless of the financial difficulties it will bring.)

Some estimates of this action will bring on a 1.5 Trillion shortfall  Another says it will add an additional 1 trillion shortfall .  Who knows? We will just have to wait and see.  What a mess.

haha, they can use some lessons from your gardening experience. The top 1% are the seed sowers (ie their monies and business acumen/vision are the seeds), no seeds no nothing happens. As a farmer these days I bet you also know the importance of patience. The average Americans have some important lessons learn from you.

What really is confusing to me is the fact that the Republican has always opposed an increase in the national debt, but with this tax bill just passed by the Senate has reversed itself, knowing full well that this bill will increase the debt by some estimates of 1.5 trillion dollars.   (Who can figure this?)

When the monies worldwide (including rich American MNCs' and individuals') come rushing in to take advantage of the tax paradise the debt scenario is likely to change for the better, for one.

No, debt level will never improve, because it became 'policy':
