Q: environmental programs in China

I there any well established environmental groups in China open to foreigner involvement?  I have a large history with hands on projects in environment and want to apply my skills while I am here but I know that (1) Chinese people typically adopt the mentality that they can do it themselves (even if they can't) and mostly won't take foreigner help on these issues; (2) it is difficult to get a consistent and involved group; and (3) government and regulations stifle most opportunities for actual progress and it is very difficult to reshape a culture and mentality. If anybody knows any way to get involved or wants a well rounded person to help, can you provide me with links, Wechat ID, or QQ's?  Thanks.
