I have bought a few things that just did seem real.
trying to be gentle here.
razor blades, shaving cream and shampoo are some of the ones that really disgust me. and I have bought them all.Imagine buying a blade that really is not sharp... or shaking that can and gettin piss out of it. shampoo that just plain irritates your scalp.
never gonna say the clothes are made to fail after one or 2 washes... but sure seems like it... never put your cheap chinese bought clothes in an automatic clothes washer.!!!!
Of course I have lived with all these stupid thing for a number of years and accepted them as being "CHINA"
Even my family here has alway told me that they "export" the good stuff sluff the second rate stuff to the locals. (pretty sure a lot of us would argue about "good" stuff being exported.)
today I got some candles ... I know people back home that make candles..... it is not complicated and it is not expensive., you can make a buck making candles
these candles were meant to be special for me and for some of my memories.
they lit and burned fine to start with and were totally normal on the exterior, what you can see. A couple minutes into burning, I noticed a black smoke and a black "drool" coming off these real nice wax candles.
I thought oh well , little something .... I am a trusting soul.....
the end and I have despicable photos and just plain sad rememberances of the time I lit that candle.
it was wax on the outside, ( real candle) and some fucking weird thing inside, that just burnt up rapidly and then the candle died. the wick was not to the end.
Just a sad sad story of assholes in China selling fake shit. how low can you go? me an violence do not get along, but if I knew the man that made and or sold this candle, I would undoubtedly ENJOY some violence.
Well, I don't really give a crap unless a large portion of my health or the health of my family relies upon it.
But that being said, I do prefer legit items for the price tag I pay... I mean... come on... if you pay 1000 rmb for a Rolex and actually believe it is legit then you are a damn tool!
No, never!
I usually save most of my purchases for HK ..... so, one nice, sunny day I bought G-tech HD in HK Apple in Wan Chai. HD was top utility on Apple's menu. It must be good!
As soon as I returned to Mainland, hard drive malfunctioned and I sent it to Beijing Lava Team repair shop. They required, I send original purchasing receipt with broken HD.
I was thinking 'do they think, I might made copy of HD in my mom's cellar ' and so on.
I got new HD back from Bj in some two weeks, however they didn't return HD's purchasing receipt.
After some 10 months (last month), HD died again and I got into my old contacts for repair. Lava Team replied: 'Since, HD was purchased in HK, it must be send to HK G-Tech firm for repair.
Few days after I mailed HD to HK with Yunda shipping (for 130 Rmb fee), Chinese G-tech rep. contacted me and said:
'There is a trouble! If you send used electronic to HK, you'll be required to pay customs duties to import it back to Mainland! Can you ask Yunda to return package to you?'
So, I hurried up and contacted Yunda through Chinese translator and ask them to return HD to Guizhou.
Yunda agreed without hesitation and after two weeks, they told us, they lost a package.
Yunda: 'Could you show us purchasing receipt, so we can issue refund for lost package?' and so on.
If Chinese wouldn't customary 'reach with R hand around the arse to the L pocket', whole matter should be resolved simply between G-Tech repair shop and Yunda ..... why me?
You don't want to know about hand-made shoes (2 pairs) with advanced full payment at Shanghai's Silk Road .....which were in the end made too small.
I bought a fake pair of converse shoes, they fell apart after wearing them for a day.
I buy fake LEGO, they save me a fortune. ^^ and hey they are 99% the same.
I'm sure I have, but I quit checking or worrying about authenticity of products shortly after setting foot on chinaland all those years ago.... except for high-dollar electronics. I still endeavour to source authentic products when it comes to my photography or IT/Comms.
But I will mention something that has happened to me more than once around here and in fact the similarity of the incident has led me to believe it's an intentional scam.
I buy nice 'western' foodstuff on taobao. It seems they ship like 90% +/- of the order and then,,,, that's it! They never follow up with a note saying the other items will be shipped asap and rarely have I had them contact me and come right out and say that they can't get ahold of the product and offer a timely refund or exchange.
It has me thinking a few of those merchants put up a product for sale that they didn't even have, and probably had no intention of supplying. What a scam.

Just about everything is fake in China
fake eggs
fake rice
fake milk powder
fake dvds
fake everything
I bought fake converse for 100 RMB and they were actually better than the real ones bought from the official converse website. If someone makes.identical goods for 25% of the price then it is nothing but a rip–off. Will never buy original converse again.
