Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Examples of "Learn from comrade Lei Feng"
I am trying to find any examples, whether positive or negative, of any times that mainlanders have or have not followed the principles of that ongoing 'advertising' campaign. Verifiable English-language sources would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you.
Be like Comrade Lei Feng, die in an extremely mundane and bit daft way then have a propaganda system make some shit up about you that never happened! Then have the government try to quietly kill the cult, only for the another, Mao obsessed group, drag it all up again to try to brainwash the Apple obsessed youth of today!

Google search for a mainland cult hero? Gee, thanks friend! Let me know if you want to sell the Brooklyn Bridge.
If you are too lazy/incompetent to do a basic web search, what makes you think that we will do it for you?

This site specializes in users that bash/justify the mainland mindset.
Here is one. http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/698504.shtml
The majority of daluren question the guy's existence, by being sceptical this disbelieve gives them the justification, or excuse, to bribe, cheat, steal, focus on digging tunnels in the middle of the night......etc

Lei Feng propoganda was made up... they copied from other countries (of course) trying to take the story of a young, abitious, patriotic do-gooder to motivate others.
He died from backing up into a eletric/telephone pole with a military vehicle.
The ending to his story wasn't copied... it was probably real or the result of a pathetic imagination.
The moral of the story is don't do like like Lei Feng.
When i saw the 'be like Lei Feng' posters, i asked local friends
"has there not been anyone since who could be described or used as a national role model?"
and
"surely there are a few people still alive who knew Lei Feng, so why aren't they paraded every year spouting how good this guy was?"
ok i don't really ask the second question, but i do point out that if this guy really existed, there would be people claiming that they knew him.

Google image searches using that name can yield results showing a middle-aged man who looks like he would. Of course, young Lei has a very typical Han face, so it probably could be coincidental.
