Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Face creams and TCM logic?
A majority of women are addicted to facial and hand creams. And yet so many are simultaneously also firm believers in TCM and things most of us would deem to be superstition.
So how do they reconcile the two? I'm not an expert in face creams, but I know for a fact many of them can be quite detrimental to skin health, blocking up pores and what not.
I just don't understand how the two go together.
Just exactly the same way you can have a cheese cake with a skimmed milk cappuccino and low fat sweetener.
Because they don't know the downside or side effects for anything. They just assume (like most people) that you're putting stuff on your face that's supposed to make it better, and believe it does. I always read the label to see what the ingredients are and try not to buy anything with chemicals. I haven't bought anything in China because I can't read the ingredients. If I really wanted to, I could make some kind of mask myself, but never got around to it.
It's because vanity trumps TMC 7 days a week for Chinese girls.

Welcome to China.
As someone here once said, "You know what they call Traditional Chinese Medicine that works? Medicine"
