Q: The fake accounts are talking to themselves again. How long until The ____ is mentioned?

The troll is back as we can all see....  This time he's really wacko and talking to himself. I'm guessing tomorrow afternoon there will be a post about a scam.  What's your earliest guess?  Anybody care to make a wager???

Yeah they seem to do this at least once a month. Seems like a chronic waste of time. If somebody can enlighten me as tonwhy they do this I d be greatful. I ve got to say their English is usually quite good. I don't think most genuine posters ask 6 to 7 questions at once

Yeah it is a huge waste of time... unless you've got a serious mental handicap and a lot of free time.

Hahaha that's one of my other favorite CFTU-guy comments...the old "CFTU Members see this all the time and hate it but they aren't allowed to say anything!"

Way to handwave why we never see any normal people saying "Hey i'm a CFTU member quit talking shit"!!!

It's brilliant really, it explains why the only people who post CFTU links are these ultra-dedicated non-members who get really angry if anyone doesn't believe them.

REAL CFTU members aren't allowed to post online! (on anonymous forums non less) Makes perfect sense!

So what happens to a CFTU member if they are caught posting online? Burned at the stake? Sacrificed to The Leader? Castrated??

I mean really for thousands of members of a volunteer teacher advocacy group to all behave in 100% lock step with an asinine rule about never posting online the punishment must be pretty severe.

I find two new postes talking about me.Maybe it is a fake account echinacities set up to draw the members' attention by talking about me .

jetfire9000:

No need to be too thoughtful about it. The fake poster can't talk to anybody else because everybody knows he's a fake. You're the only one that they have that can pay attention to them and give them "credibility."  Establishing credibility and looking "real" is their first step, and then they immediately start advertising some union that supports gay orgies which isn't legal.

O no it's not a troll, it's a guy with a huge weenie who's worried about illegals and tiny condoms.

it's fishing with a wide net. they hope somebody believes their stories in a bout of carelessness. even a single victim can net thousands of yuan profit. newbies are targeted, perhaps expats just off the plane or looking for info about work in China. i fear even our alertness and warnings won't prevent the occasional fish from stumbling right into the trap. very nasty stuff indeed, and i wish admin were able to do more.

jetfire9000:

eCinacities forum admin are the laziest and "helpless" of admin of any forum, ever.  Seriously.  It doesn't take a genius to see its the same guy.  Banning him every time you see him would save a lot more trouble and eventually the guy would get tired of making email addresses. Lol.

coineineagh:

if an unsuspecting job seeker is led to a CFTU e-mail, thinking they are being cautious by asking advice from a teacher's union, they instead get shaken down by a dodgy recruiter, or the fact that they tried to contact an illegal Union can be used to blackmail them, their employer, or simply sold on to the gov't for a snitch fee, as it qualifies under seditious organized activities in China. i'm sure the CFTU is just one aspect to gather and exploit info on people. the new snitch-hype is another method to gain info on illegal teaching activities.

Would make sense, I'm thinking it's a racket to shake down schools with bad reviews. But prob an individual scammer like expatlife26 says rather than a govt group. The whole thing is weird and must have some profit motive.
