Huangpu Gugang (ancient port). Bit touristy but okay for a walk round late afternoon. The village & market are interesting.

Redtory in Yuan Cun - arty place in an old canning factory area. Couple of art galleries, shops, restaurants & coffee.

Mall the places Eorthisio mentioned above.

I'll keep things central:

Bingjiang Dong Lu (Canton Tower) - I find the walk along the river overlooking ZNT and the Canton Tower a beautiful sight once the sun is down.

DongHu Park in DongShanKou - My favourite park, it's wonderful there. Dongshankou is also a very nice area to walk around.

Changshuo Lu - a little bit more roomy to walk around when shopping. During the new year, the streets are dangled with lanterns and it looks grand. There's some big open areas too to twist your head around and gawp. It's in Liwan, so if you venture out you'll see some local shizzle.

ShiPaiQiao (Gangding Exit A) - Go through the alleys, it's old school as fuck. Steam-Punk.

Redtory as mentioned above is a good shout, Keyun Lu/Yuancun are the stops you can go to.

ZhongDa Uni - shades HuaShi university. HuaShi feels a little dusty, ZhongDa has a real campus feel and it's very green Smile

Zhujiang New Town - Modern.

Let's be honest....Gz is not a great place to visit unless you are going for business.

The best thing about Gz is the blue sky in the nearby cities.

Where are you living now Wolfie? Your old place Zhongshan is a sweet little city & I enjoyed my short time living there except for the hissy fits of a certain tone-deaf website owner!

Yes, still there. Life is good and Ole Tone Deaf is still murdering the classics but word is that zsyawn is up for sale (who would pay money for that dead horse?) as he's finally taking the hint and slinking back under a rock in Oz..

He's leavin' on a jet plane.....

Wahey! I believe he's still pissed with me for a little something I wrote on his forums once......

I guess there'll be two leaving parties, his & the "thank F*** he's gone" one...I'd love to attend the latter one.

The after party will be quite a laugh and possibly the biggest party every seen in zs. And it will safe for dozens of people to go out without a stab vest.
