Why do you say this? Overall though I think the police show ambivilance towards foreigners. As a mater of fact if you go into a police station for assistance they are not very helpful to anyone most of the time. The police force and its behaviour are one of the things that could do with much improvement in China.

the police dont protect anyone. they are a reactionary force. I am struggling to understand your question. but if you mean protect foreigners more so than locals maybe the answer is yes. foreigners can go outside of china and complain (this will further hurt chinas image) chinese people cant complain to anyone or else they will be locked up. but this is your country if you dont like that policy than do something about.

on the other hand , this is not only a china problem. 10 years ago in a florida city (i forget which one) criminals started targeting tourists (when they were victimizing each other the police didnt care) because this particular city relied on tourism (money) they created a task force to go after the criminals and protect the tourist screw the local taxpayers.

I am foreIgner have BAD experience at Guangzhou at 15 march 2011 ,that happen at Mongkok watch BLDG 1 of suplier ask 3 people to Hit Me,the problem because I am not take My order ,because that`s goods have problem although I have Payed Down Payment,

after that I call Policebut police just come 3 hour,after go to police station
,than police ask Me go to Hospital, because I have blooding to much after go to Hospital the doctor ask me to foto all the body than say that`s My nose bone is broken, than I stay at hospital 10 day,
until I go for report criminal Vise report is JINGSANG, thats mining will jail 3year,
but the police not proses this case,
until I report to My consul Indonesia also I call lawyer, but police still not proses because the police
is friend from the other side,
after take longtime ,the police give report thats people who hate me is wanted,
untill 6 mount, the police say cannot arrest Him , but allot of people told Me thats people still
at Guangzhou because He have good relation with thats police,
until last week thats people go to police station to report , than thats polce give permition to let Him Go with some one guarantie,
Is it like this LAW rule at CHINA ? if have relation Money Power can Do everything like Gangster,

go back to the police (if this is still a fresh incident) with someone who could understand you and can translate for you. must be trustworthy as well.
tell them you have notified your consulate, and that if the police do not punish the offenders you will report it to the media in your own country and other countries warning them not to do business in china.
your translator must be good and trustworthy (locals love to tell something different from what you asked them to translate)

if that does not work there is nothing you can do. simply spread the word in your country about the dangers of doing business in china. i dont know why anyone does business here

yes thats is fresh incident, the police just ask the hate person go at last week , give (jifahousen china language)
