Q: Has anyone been to Qinghai?

Just as the question says. I've traveled up and down the east of China countless times though know nothing about the West, and am particularly interested in Qinghai (don't ask me why, the place just sounds mysterious!. Does anyone have any pointers or experiences to share about the place? Thanks alot.

Qinghai has one of my fave places in China. Qinghai lake great place to head to.

You can also head to some of the Tibetan Autonmous places closet place you can get to Tibet without holding a special permit. Recommend Taktser where one individual I cannot name was born.
