Q: Has anyone used China Post to send a package to Africa?

I'm trying to find an economical yet convenient way to send a package to southern Africa. So far China Post seems to be the cheapest option.. Roughly how long did it take your package to arrive(SAL or Air?) and was it in good condition? Would you recommend using China Post or another service? Any tips?

Even if you didn't ship to Africa, feel free to let me know about your experience. I could really use all the help I can get.. Thanks!

Sent package to South Africa with China Post. Took two weeks. Was also a postal strike in South Africa at the time. Things going the other way is different. Took 6 months to get a package from New Zealand. Where it was for those months is anyone's guess.

That seems pretty fast. Did you send it by airmail?

Also if they ask you to use the ship (boat, not shipping.) Than thats ok too but it'll take long, my friend need something shipped to South Africa and it was a laptop and was only allowed to be shipped by ship. Took 1 month. It was by China Post

not south africa but

I sent a package (just documents) to Canada on July 3   ,,yet to arrive  .. cost me 200rmb...  promised delivery in 21 days....  bullshit. ..I am really angry today.

Most of the mail stuff works fine...  66% is my guess ....  so 33% of the time you are going to lose whatever you are sending.   ..  the other 1% is all yours..

I am thinking that it is best to never use any land, ship or air mail service in China. Rip me off once,  OK, twice, I think there is an issue....  3 times, AM I EVER STUPID.

Like I said, in 5 years of maybe bimonthly stuff sent from or to me....  66% arrive to their destination.

in China (domestic) the delivery&nbspoutfits are great!!!!! and cheap and prompt.   what the hell is wrong with the international places???

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
