Q: Have you found cheaper deodorant?

Looking on Tao Bao and Speed Stick is 260rmb and I'm running low. There must be something cheaper and I don't mean the crappy stuff I can buy locally. That is just scented, watery, roll on.

If you are looking for deodorants made abroad, you will really have to pay high prices for them due to taxes collected as import duties, and they could be as high as 150% depending on commodity.

When I moved to China a couple of years back, I brought with me 6 ea cans of Right Guard spray deodorant, and they have already ran out.

In my shopping trips I am always looking for deodorants, and I have found one made in China called "Rexona for Men", comes as roll-on or spray.  The spray type is 150 gms, the roll on is 50 ml.  Both sell on the 20 to 30 Rmb range.  I am not saying they are the best, but it is better than nothing and at a reasonable price.  Try the spray first, I found it to be better than the roll-on.

Hope that helps you.

PS: check for photos of them at

Happy, I always stock up but I too, have ran out and my usual pipeline has "dried up". In the past there was always a friend heading back home who could replenish the stock upon his return but as I said, I've hit a dry spell. Thanks for the info tho. I will check that out.

Our folks send us care packages every 4-6 weeks and when we start to get low, they include deodorant. You aren't going to find good, quality deodorant in China, except maybe on Taobao like you said for crazy high prices. We did find some in Hong Kong last week, but that is going to be the only place in China to get it.

Like many of you have already said I to have had a problem finding good deodorant in the past and usually stock up on deoderant, toothpaste and nyquil every time I go back home.
The best one I found actually was on a super hot day in july when my rightguard stick finally went dry.. I walked around to all the supermarkets and couldn't find anything I had finally givin up and thought maybe I will just make sure to wash really good but on my way back home I stopes by the 7-11 and seen a bar of Nivea? I think but it was good stuff, smelled clean and lasted.. It's the best one I actually found here in chins that works for me..

On another note to all the people replying to this question please ......please please please tell me that at least a couple of you are middle east guys or Africans. Those stink bags really need to learn about deodorant I can't stand walking past them or being next to them in the bus. I had to get off a crowded bus one time to throw up because this stinking Arab was smelling so bad
