Even if you had an account with the bank, with the same amount deposited, and offered it as a collateral, because one you are a foreigner, maybe with less than one year in China, and second as a student you can not work, so have no source of steady income as far as local banks are concerned, I am sorry to say  your chances are very close to zero.  Now, there are private citizens who will be happy to loan you money at 200 % rate per month, but i do not advise you to use those fellows, they may get very nasty if you miss one payment.

Phone home mate. There must be someone who can help. The banks here will not give you a loan.

My thoughts exactly...and the question may be genuine, but smells like a sympathy scam to get forum members to pony up a little.

I would like to tell everyone who post their answers on this forum is that ;

the question and its content is genuine and I'm not trying to gain sympathy of fellow foreigners through this and its not a publicity stunt , I'm mentioning this because I saw that this has been labelled as scam which is not true its just because that I'm lonely here in the city with no one to help me around and facing circumstances which I cannot control that's why I decided to take help from here.

Apologies if anyone feels offended by anyone of my words.

Have you considered talking to your University/College? Back home they have departments that are set up for situations like this.

Also, if you have no money now then how are you going to have money in the future to pay back the loan?

As others have said, getting a loan from a Chinese bank is impossible unless you work for a company willing to insure you against missed payments and even then you are looking at 6-8 weeks before you can get the money.

Just give a call to your folks back home, I'm sure they can help you out, do you have your old bank card from your country? If it has a VISA logo on it then you can get them to deposit funds in your bank account and withdraw here, you may need to let your bank know you need to take the money out abroad. I've done that many times years ago when I was broke!

Finally, learn from this and make a few close friends who can help you out when times are tough. I have a couple of GREAT friends and we are always there for each other in times of hardship!

Good luck!

Okay. Serious answer this time around.

If you cannot borrow the funds from your few friends, contact your family, as Mike suggests. If your family cannot help, then you need to earn the money.

Students on a student visa in China cannot legally work, as you know. (Whispering: But you can pick up a private English tutoring job or two.and deliver your lessons in the privacy of your students' home. No one will be the wiser.)

Finally, ask your fellow students what they do in a pinch.

nabythegreat:

I understand but how can I get a private tutoring job I don't know how to get a job og like that.

Or please any foreigner who lends money at interest .

Please it will be very kind of you to help me in times like this.

Red_Fox:

Now you're starting to creep me out. You can't find a job? Check your local online bulletin boards, a local English-language rag in your city, ask around.

(Where are you from? What are you studying? What school?)

What are your expectations of this board? Do you expect posters to send/lend you money?

Your weepy implorations smack of 419...

Best option, speak to your University/College or borrow the money from friends or family back home, the latter being the most advisable.  I'm sure somebody could help you out.  Maybe even your bank, depending on your age and which country you're from etc. In regards to what Red_Fox said above, private tutoring jobs won't just fall into your lap, you will have to enquire/search online or spread your services through word of mouth.  For some reason however, you don't seem to really be exhausting all avenues, considering you need this money so badly.

1400rmb loan from the bank they would never loan out a small amount. Ask friends at your uni or your local triad member sure he will gladly help out.
