Hi man. You have to go back to your university and get it notarized there, next take it to your nearest Chinese Embassy and get it an authentication sticker. After all of that it's time to start finding a company to hire you( you should still be in your home country.), than start the Z visa. After you got the Z visa than you can come to China.

Sorry man, no easy path, you must start at your university! There are no short cuts.

PS English Correction:  I have a degree from "an" English speaking country, ( don't forget "an" & capitalize your "i".)

expatlife26:

Would you need to go back and have it done there or could you just order it online? I would think a call to the registrars office and a couple of a fazools and they'd send you what you need.

It's hit or miss, you might be able to order the uni notarization but the you'd have to hire an agent or ask a family member to go to the Chinese embassy for their special  sticker.

PS English correction - please look up the correct usage of 'thAn', and compare with 'thEn'.

You will also have to have your certificate translated into Chinese by a licensed Chinese translator and then notarized.

ironman510:

The translation step can be the last step. Get the Uni to sign first, than take it to nearest China embassy in your home country, than get it translated.

To update teachers who want to notarize there certificates at a university. You do not need to go back to your country to do it. Just send your original copy to the university. You need to see a solicitor in China first to validate it is you who will be sending it then send it. The university when they get will then sign it and send it back to you. Get in touch with your university first to explain what you will do and they will be very happy to help. Hope this helps.

Bollocks! Do you work for a solicitor's office here??

First - find out what the notorisation requirements actually ARE before doing anything!!!

Given that the rules for notorisation are VERY different to what people above have said, I'd suggest getting online and checking what needs to be done in the "English speaking country"...

Eg, in Aus, you need to get your qualification notorised by DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), and then sent to the Chinese embassy/consulate.

In South Africa I had to:

1. Go to the Department of Higher Education and get my degree stamped and signed.

2. Go to the Department of Foreign Affairs and get another stamp...

3. Go to the Chinese Embassy

Quite a process but got it done in a day Smile

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
