Q: How come My mind has Changed a lot?

My mind has changed a lot  Since I met my western husband, more international .It seems sometimes I have problems to deal with Chinese people nowdays,I remember a month ago,We had a meeting with our small boss ,one of the colleague did something wrong in his work ,So my boss got so angry and talked pretty loud,I said suddenly , Shut up in front of the boss.luckily,He doesn't understand any English but hello ,how are you and thanks. I could not imagine what would happen,If he understood what I said,Probably he would fire me LOL. who knows.

Today I went to a local market to get more vegetables,When I was picking some vegetables,a young man's staring at me for at least 1 min,Then I asked him,wo hao kan ma( am I beautiful)? LOL,then he said hao kan (beautiful) and sorry to me and I noticed his face became RED lol. Its's not like me at all,I have never ask a man this kind of questions before even he stars at me for so long.

These are just two examples of what I am talking about.

Feel free to share with me If you guys have similare experience or You get anything to say.

I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

well you have every right to tell this fool of, he wasnt staring at you he was leering, which is uncomfortable for you and embarrassing on his behalf but i guess he didnt care until you told him of, nothing wrong with looking at someone  but if you are going to look for a long period of time make it more discreet, but girls in general have to be careful about how they dress when they go out, you have every right to dress the way you want but you can easily attract unwanted attention, im sure you heard the stories recently about what happens in the metro in china.

as for your boss he has no right tell yell at anyone, yelling doesnt solve any problems,

you changing isnt a bad thing, you are just standing up for yourself, too many people stare and leer in china, its about time someone said something hahahah

Yes,very true,It's time to say something, like you said,we should stand up for ourself.

About your question, your mind changed because you know a different culture, a different way, and you decided the new way is better, or you found something good or useful in the new way.

It goes both ways. Some Chinese habits or protocols seem more useful or better to me than my old habits, thus I change. I'm not Chinese, but I do a few things in a Chinese way because I think it improves on the way I did it before.

Learning a new culture opens your mind to new things and gives you insight into your own culture, the bad and the good.

And the food really is delicious. Now I'm going to the supermarket to stare at beautiful girls.

maggiegirly:

Yeah,I agree with you.

That's why I am trying to get the best balance between Chinese and western culture by taking good parts from each.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
